"The hotel itself is lovely, The spa, pool etc., was fantastic. The outdoor pool area was very nice as well. The rooms were very large and exceptional. The hotel is really well made. Downside is the staff at the bar outside (which I think is not technically owned by the hotel, but is their main eating area) were not helpful. Left us waiting 15 minutes to be served then told us the restaurant closed two minutes ago. There was nowhere else to get food at all. We were very hungry until 7pm when it...

Hotel Pyrénées

Hotel Pyrénées

10/10 Excellent
"When we arrived, the GPS took us to a steep back street and we were lost. We parked up in a spot that was clearly not for us and found the hotel on foot. Carlos checked us in and was so incredibly friendly and helpful, walking with us outside the hotel and showing us where we should park. His English was outstanding. The location of the hotel was perfect and easy to find the sites we wanted to see. Andorra la Velle is a beautiful and clean town. No graffiti and no dog poop anywhere though there were plenty of people walking them. The restaurants we ate at were excellent, but our favorites were the Mexican Barbequed Ribs (not sure why they are called Mexican) one night and Roasted Spring Lamb our final night. Finally, the breakfast buffet was reasonably priced with a decent selection of food items."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Civís?
The best time to go to Civís is during the late spring (May to June) or early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the natural beauty of the Pyrenees is at its peak.

During these months, the temperatures are comfortable for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the surrounding valleys without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. The landscape is particularly striking, with lush greenery in spring and vibrant autumnal colours later in the year, offering excellent opportunities for photography and leisurely walks.

Couples looking for a romantic and peaceful escape will find these periods ideal. The trails are less crowded than in peak summer, allowing for more intimate experiences amidst the stunning mountain scenery. Many of the local restaurants will be open, serving traditional Catalan cuisine, superb for enjoying a quiet evening after a day of exploration.

Families with older children who enjoy active holidays will also appreciate these times. The milder weather makes activities like mountain biking or guided nature walks more enjoyable for all ages.
