18th Century Cottage in Cirencester with Garden
Summary:
This beautiful home’s honey-stone exterior is quintessentially Cotswolds, but the interiors have been given a contemporary twist. Find historic charm and modern comfort at this two-bedroom cottage in Cirencester, 5-8 mins walk from the centre. Housed within a Grade II* listed building from 1775, find original features aplenty - from exposed stone walls to rustic beams and terracotta flagstone floors. Yet, stylish decor adds a touch of luxury. Paid on-street parking is found outside the cottage.
The Space:
With inviting rooms, a courtyard garden and an abundance of charm, this cottage is the ideal setting for a country getaway. After long days out exploring, head to your cosy living room for an evening of peace and relaxation - settle in for the night with a glass of wine and a film on the Smart TV. Meanwhile, next door, the brand new kitchen, featuring marble countertops, a butler sink and coffee machine, is a delight to rustle up delicious home-cooked meals.
Upstairs, the cottage boasts two spacious bedrooms that sleep four. Both are as light, bright and homely as the other. The master has a super-king bed, and the second bedroom has a king-size bed (both also have pull-outs available on request - please see more info below). There’s also a bonus of a desk for anyone planning to work remotely. Both share a lovely family bathroom with a shower and bath unit.
Both bedrooms also have double pull-out beds, which are available on request. The property has a maximum occupancy of 4 guests and is best equipped for this. The dining table does pull out, and it can therefore seat additional guests. However, the remainder of the property would likely not be comfortable sleeping more than four, unless they were children. The pull-outs are therefore aimed at families.
For those travelling with their own vehicles, there is a large car park right opposite the cottage called Beeches Road Car Park. The rates are reasonable and it only costs £3.10 per day. The charging hours are from Monday to Saturday 08:00 - 18:00, and Sun 10:00 - 18:00. It is free outside of these hours. There is also an EV charging point here.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole cottage and garden, including a lockable shed.
The Neighborhood:
Cirencester is a charming market town that is often thought of as a gateway to the Cotswolds. Immerse yourself in history with a visit to the Corinium Museum, showcasing artefacts from Roman times. Explore the picturesque streets lined with quaint shops, cafes, and historic buildings. Take a leisurely stroll around Cirencester Park or venture further afield to the enchanting Cotswold countryside. Indulge in a spot of retail therapy at the bustling markets or browse the local art galleries. The cottage is also right next to the award-winning Barn Theatre.
With its rich heritage, stunning scenery, and vibrant atmosphere, Cirencester offers something for everyone, ensuring an unforgettable stay.

I had a lovely stay here. The house was clean, tidy, and had everything I needed. It’s only a short walk from the centre of town, which made exploring Cirencester really easy. There’s also overnight parking nearby at a very reasonable rate, which was a big plus. The hosts’ communication was excellent throughout, clear, friendly, and responsive. Cirencester itself is full of great shops, eateries, and pubs, so there was always plenty to see and do.Overall, a really convenient and comfortable place to stay. Would definitely return!
