"A grand but homely place to stay with a particularly welcoming and interesting owner of the beautiful property, the only downside was the rather poor road access, but it was really worth taking the bumpy road to the prperty"
"Lovely and clean and friendly staff. Decor could do with an update and the bed was a bit hit and miss but understandable in these older world properties. Breakfast was very nice too"

"We booked a family weekend for our 40th wedding anniversary. The house is big and spacious with a great games room, play area and hot tub. Most bedrooms have en-suites which were well appointed and had handwash, shower/ shampoo suppliedThe village is small which means a drive to Bampton for supplies and to the nearest pub.Becky and Neil were great hosts and were easily contactable if we needed assistance"
"Our family has a reunion of 13 people and we all had a wonderful time staying at the priory. It is so spacious and comfortable - almost all the rooms are en suite, there are big rooms for all to gather to eat or play games or socialize, as well as spaces for folks to have quiet time. The garden is large and perfect for outdoor games. The hot tub is well maintained and was well used! There are fields where one can walk nearby. The rooms were cozy and quiet (did not hear each other, nor the folks staying in buildings elsewhere on the property - everyone slept well and felt so rested and renewed after our weekend there. The owner is a very gracious and welcoming host. One thing we really liked was the *well supplied* kitchen - there were lots of dishes, cups, mugs, silverware, cooking dishes etc.. Even with a large group that was eating throughout the day, we did not have to worry about doing constant dishes to keep up with our meals. There were also two high chairs so the one year old could be well taken care of. We give it our highest recommendation and have all agreed that we will use this site again for our family gatherings!
