"Wij hebben genoten van de ruimte in het huis, het zwembad en vooral de rust en natuur om ons heen. Het huis ligt in de bergen waar je volledig privé zit. We werden ontvangen door sleutelhouder Giuseppe die goed te bereiken was voor eventuele vragen tussendoor. Voor tips hadden we contact met Giulia. Het zwembad is niet verwarmd, maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken. De kinderen hebben elke dag gezwommen. De keuken was goed uitgerust. Er zit een kleine supermarkt in Gaggi, maar met 20 minuten rijden ben je bij een grote supermarkt waar ze alles hebben. De Etna en mooie plekken zoals Taormina zijn goed te bereiden. Kortom, een geweldige week en aanrader!"

"We enjoyed our short but very sweet night at Palazzo Privatera. We arrived on the heels of Cyclone Henry, so much of the town was shut down, but our host Alfio was extremely insightful and helpful. He showed us around this mideivel treasure, hosted a wonderful breakfast, and made our stay so comfortable! Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the amazing property and town, but hope to return in the future to enjoy more of Mt Etna’s beauty and vineyards!"

"If I could give La Cavenera Etnae more than 5* I would. We stayed here for one night for my 30th birthday and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We did the Eruption wine tasting and Roberto was so knowledgeable and exciting to listen to. I had the fish menu and my partner the meat and both options were absolutely incredible. The facilities are beautiful, the pool and vineyard walks are so peaceful and relaxing. The room was super comfortable and clean. We will definitely come back!"

"What a relaxing week! We had a wonderful time at this villa. The pool, garden and outside eating spaces were fantastic - with wonderful views. Cottage allowed us to experience authentic ‘cosy’ Italian living - with a welcome of water, beer and aperol spritz! Claudia and her family were so lovely and helpful. The area is stunning (gorge and mountains) and really enjoyed local restaurants such as the Alcantara Bistrot (Gaggi) and I sapori dell' Alcantara ex trattoria del corso. We did a great cooking course in Taormina and enjoyed a trip to Syracusa. All in all a fantastic trip and would definitely return. Thank you Claudia!! "
