This is the most magical place and a retreat from the world! The cabin is warm and cosy and set within an extremely peaceful setting with no phone signal (no really no signal) - pure bliss! The cabin is perfect for dogs with an enclosed garden and access straight into the forest and the river. Thank you so much again Lyn!

We had a wonderful and relaxing few days at Ash Mill Cabin.
We had a wonderful and relaxing few days at Ash Mill Cabin. The cabin itself is cosy and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and beautiful views through most windows. The surrounding woodland is glorious, and because you're on private land, you can stroll at your leisure with little disturbance. Lyn is a lovely host, who is both friendly and helpful, and completely unintrusive, leaving you alone to enjoy the peace and quiet. Her dogs are adorable (and pretty vocal upon arrival). My one small gripe is that the mattress on the bed is very, very soft, so if you need the support of a firmer mattress (arthritis sufferer here), that's something to bear in mind. Other than that, Ash Mill Cabin is the perfect escape for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet away from the world (both online and real). Highly recommended!

Perfect! If you want to escape, to really get away from it all, then I highly recommend Ash Mill Cab
Perfect! If you want to escape, to really get away from it all, then I highly recommend Ash Mill Cabin. It's in a beautiful location, surrounded by wildlife. No traffic noise, just birds and animals and the babbling brook which is virtually outside the door in the wood. The brook runs right through the private woodland, which is a truly magical place.
Lyn is a lovely lady and there if you need anything, along with her "Tribe" of Labradors. The flag system for walking the dogs works well and our dog was made very welcome and loved his holiday too.
The cabin itself is so comfortable and cosy. The Aga is amazing and I used it for a Sunday roast and I even made a stew with dumplings!
The lack of phone signal and WIFI, although slightly daunting at first, turned out to just add to the real peace of this place. We shall return!

Myself, Hubby and our two barky dogs loved our stay.
Myself, Hubby and our two barky dogs loved our stay. Lyn provided us with a lovely cream tea and a smile on arrival just what we needed after a long journey. Cabin itself is country cute but also bigger than I expected. Had a dishwasher which is great as who wants to do the dishes on holiday and the Aga was easy to get used actually fun to use it to do toast, to but it keeps the cabin quite warm. It must be so cosy in winter as theres also a log burner in the living room. Well secured large garden for the dogs. We didn't explore the surrounding land as one of our doggies was recovering from surgery but lots of birds visit the garden. Definitely a digital detox with no phone or data signal but that added to the charm - well at least that's what I thought Hubby would welcome wifi. Only grumble is that it could do with a bigger bed currently a double just a bit too small for us larger folk. Would recommend to any couple with doggies. Lyn and her pack of 5 beautiful dogs were very welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay.
If you’re looking to get away from life in the fast lane and get back to nature this is the perfect place. Off the beaten track (literally) with no phone signal/WiFi (bliss) this little cabin is tucked away in the middle of the forest and allows you to completely relax and unwind surrounded by an abundance of wild birds and animals and miles of untouched forest - just for you!!!
Lyn is an exceptional host, knowledgeable and friendly (along with her gorgeous pack of guard dogs).
This cabin had everything we needed for a long weekend stay (loved using the Aga!) and was in a good location to visit other parts of north Devon. Definitely recommend baggy point and clovelly!
You really do fall asleep to the sound of the owls and wake to the morning song of the birds.
We will definitely return.

A beautiful cottage in a picturesque woodland setting.
A beautiful cottage in a picturesque woodland setting. Very well appointed property and extremely comfortable.
Access is down an unmade track which may catch low-slung vehicles out. Dogs are very welcome and garden is enclosed with woodland tracks straight from the back gate. Owners dogs don't mix with other dogs so a simple flag system indicating when you are taking your dogs out works well.
The local village has no amenities so nearest village shops are about 10 mins on narrow lanes.
A very peaceful location with lots of wildlife. Lyn is very welcoming and helpful.

Such a tranquil place.
Such a tranquil place. We were greeted warmly and enjoyed walking in the grounds. Whatever the weather this is such an isolated treat. The cabin is extremely spacious and very relaxing. Using the aga was also something that added to the experience. The modern world disappeared for a few days which is exactly what we wanted.
