"Lovely little cottage providing a relaxing retreat. We equipped and comfortable. Pretty pond on site, with goldfish and colourful planting; great for relaxing with a book. Nice to enjoy a swim in the swimming pool, and a walk to nearby Sheepwash with good pub, tearoom, small shop. Recommended."

"The property was warm & welcoming and has fabulous views. The owner was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The property managers Marsdens Cottages were not helpful. The stated check in and out was 4pm to 9 am. (This varied according to where we were reading). Marsdens refused any flexibility, yet the owner was happy to extend (out of season). The VRBO site said "pets welcome", but only 1 pet was welcome, so we had to make other arrangements for our 2 labradors. We suspect that the owner would...

"beautiful outlook and amazing quality barn conversion. All the little details have been thought of. Even the loo roll is top quality!!!! Gilbert is a fantastic host. Only downside was It was quite small for 4 of us, and the limited windows meant it was quite dark and I imagine it could get quite hot at the height of summer."

"Had a lovely stay. We booked an apartment which turned out to be a lovely bungalow. The accommodation was a little dated but spotlessly clean and very spacious, great little extras such as kitchen roll, tea towels etc. resort was beautiful, highly recommend the leisure facilities it’s a shame there’s no restaurant. The bar is open 5-10pm but it would be good to be able to get a drink or coffee during the day. Came for a rest and it was perfect. I hope to come back one day. "

"We loved this little hotel. Breakfast was great. The staff is friendly and helpful. We liked the location, although it’s not a quick walk to the main campus of the University of Exeter and the walk into the town center may be longer than some would want. There’s good access to public transport. And ample parking. "
