"The hotel is a located inside a converted house. Everything looks very traditional, complete with low ceilings, sliding doors, mat covered floors and futons. The dorm slept four, which I though was tight, but it seems to work well enough that I slept quite well both nights. My futon had two layers and although I like a firm mattress, I did think it was quite sore on my back the 1st night. Common areas include the kitchen, cafe and lounge. "The owner and his wife were really lovely, and gave us a huge amount of information about local places to eat - as well as some excellent tips for our hike up Mount Fuji. The hostel is really nicely laid out, very clean, close to lots of food options (restaurants, supermarkets and convenience stores) - and has an incredible view of Mount Fuji from the communal indoor and outdoor spaces. We really enjoyed our stay!!"
