Really great stay!

My husband and I, and our 20 year old daughter stayed for a week and had a wonderful time! The view really is as good as it looks in the photos. When we weren't out exploring, I was sitting on that balcony just watching the birds and and boats. The AC worked very well in the living area and the bedrooms. Everything was very clean, and we appreciated the kitchen staples that were left by previous guests, and we did the same. It was also great that so many beach towels were provided. I want to go back already!

Our stay was amazing! Walking in the door and waking up to that view is incredible! The couches, kitchen and bedrooms/baths comfortably fit our family of 5. The kitchen supplies and beach stuff were great! We were able to easily get anywhere on the island due to the central location. We enjoyed how quiet the area was.

We had a wonderful family vacation snorkeling, jet skiing, relaxing on the multiple beaches. The view from the condo was beautiful, accommodations were perfect for our family of 5 (teenagers included). Erin was easy to work with. We can't wait to take another trip!

Everything was delightful about our stay here in this condo. It was very clean and had the perfect set up. The view was spectacular! My favorite part was sitting on the front porch with my sister as we overlooked the Caribbean ocean.

This 2 level condo was absolutely perfect for our stay. It is stocked with everything that you will need to make your stay comfortable from cooking supplies, coffee, gas grill, beach supplies, and more! We actually should have looked around more before going shopping as we duplicated a few purchases but that is ok as we just paid it forward for the next guest. We will return and this condo is too of the list!

Needs some fixing here and there but my family didn't care. Switches not working here and there. Minimal lights. A/C needs some attention but worked just enough. It got pretty hot outside. This was in June.

Amazing view and warm breeze.

This was an awesome place to spend the winter and recover from knee surgery. I was able to work with my laptop on the balcony in 82 degrees with a refreshing breeze that crosses the whole unit. We had the glass doors to the balcony open from morning until night. I am missing the amazing view of the blue Caribbean and Buck Island, the pool for some aquatherapy, and the nearby beaches for snorkeling on the weekends. The regulars at the pool are welcoming, and Erin was very helpful and responded quickly for a couple of problems with internet and electiricity we had while staying. All-in-all, it was a wonderful stay.

We had a great time in St Croix and at Erin’s condo. It was spacious, clean and met all our needs. Trade winds helped to keep us cool. The view was amazing. Could see Buck Island and the boats that were out in the bay. Had an amazing lightening storm that lit up the sky behind the island. Erin was very responsive to requests. We couldn’t get WiFi one day and she worked with several sources until it was restored. Thank you, Erin. We we able to get everywhere in a reasonable time so location was good. This is a great place to stay in St Croix. Highly recommend it,

Didn’t want to leave!

We stayed with our kids (ages 6, 16 & 19) for 10 days. The house was clean, well equipped and the view from both porches is magnificent. The kitchen was stocked with dry goods and a few pantry staples left from previous guests which came in handy (spices, oils, pancake mix etc). The hall closet has coolers, a beach umbrella, first aid kit, sunscreen, bug spray etc which was a nice bonus. We have AT&T and the phone service was spotty at best on the island. Wifi at the condo worked well. We loved waking up to the gorgeous view and that’s what I will miss the most. Erin was quick to respond with any issues or questions that we had. If we ever return to STX, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great Location, As Advertised!

Coakley Bay is a very nice, and well maintained, complex. I won't repeat all the "positive" things said in previous reviews. I'll just say they are all true. Erin's unit is "as advertised". It is well stocked, and the views are amazing. Don't let the fact that it is at the top of a steep hill concern you at all. All the better while sipping your morning coffee out on the balcony. There is plenty of parking at the unit, and half way down the hill where the pool and restaurant are located. It might seem crazy driving 100 yards to go to the pool, but after you walk it once, you will understand. I agree with everyone else about the Buck Island snorkeling excursions. It is an amazing snorkeling location. We did it in 2017. However, this year we discovered Isaac's Bay. When you go to see Point Udall, look for the parking area just before you reach the monument. There is a hiking trail head that starts there. It is a beautiful, easy, hike along the coast that leads down to Isaac's bay. The snorkeling there is very good, and best of all, free! One final thought: Make sure to do Sunday brunch at Ziggy's! The Slyh's

Breathtaking views - and technical problems

The condo really has breathtaking views and was just the right size, location and price for me and my family. However, we did experience a number of technical problems which is why I cannot give more than three stars. First, the WIFI did not work. Erin, the owner responded to my questions but were not able to help much. She explained that it was due to the hurricanes six months earlier and I believe her, but if there is no wifi don't say that there is. Second, the lock in one of the bathrooms jammed while one of us were in there and we had to remove the handle and lock to get him out. These things can happen anywhere, but maybe it is a sign of general ware and tear. A dislodged curtain rod in one of the bedrooms points to the same conclusion. Third, the TV did not work, but that was not a big problem. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Coakley Bay Condos but a better review would require attention to the technical problems.

Amazing Condo!

Our stay in St Croix was so wonderful! We really weren’t sure what to think prior to arriving at the condo. We visited St Croix a few times before but it was our first time renting a condo. After a long, tiring flight we were pleasantly surprised to find such a clean, well-furnished condo! The cabinet was stocked with plenty of drinking water and other convenient niceties. Additionally, it had a gas grill with plenty of gas, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, seasonings and spices, huge TV in living room, board games, books, DVD’s, Wi-Fi, and most importantly, a coffee maker. Parking is available right outside of the condo. The absolute best thing about this condo was THE VIEW!!! I can’t even put into words how it felt waking up to the view of the ocean and Buck Island. The pictures really do not do it justice. The breeze was amazing and flowed all throughout the condo. What a beautiful and quiet island with the friendliest people everywhere. It was an amazing vacation, so relaxing, so fun, the condo is beautiful! The owner, Erin was amazing. The few times we had questions, it only took a quick send of a message and we received a fast reply every time, usually within the hour. Condo is very clean, amenities are exceptional, and kitchen is complete. I strongly recommend this condo to anyone wanting to have a fantastic vacation in St Croix. Already thinking about when we can come back.

Not as good as it looks in pictures

Starting with positives- view of Buck Island is lovely. Master bedroom mattress was comfortable. Now for the reality. We booked the stay for 12 nights hoping for a relaxing family trip. We read the reviews and looked at all of the pictures and thought it looked great. We left after 4 nights due to the poor condition of the unit and safety concerns. We tried to communicate our concerns to Erin after being in the unit for a few hours. We received no response and reached out again a couple of days later. She responded that her unit was better than most and that we should look around the island to see that she was right. We let her know we were unhappy with the state of the unit and would like to be released from the contract with no response until a formal complaint was filed with VRBO. We tried to negotiate to pay for 7 nights and be refunded for 5. She has continued to refuse to work with us on this stating she couldn’t rent the unit fast enough to recoup her money. We did actually go see a few other places and nowhere else was in such poor repair or had such safety concerns. Concerns: No window coverings on 2nd bedroom. The window opens to a public sidewalk so anyone can look in at anytime. Our teen daughters felt very uncomfortable with the lack of privacy. 2nd bathroom is not much larger than one you’d find on an airplane and has no latching mechanism on the door so the door does not lock. The bathroom was not represented in photos. The downstairs floor tile is cracked and broken with sharp edges sticking up. You either have to walk carefully or wear shoes. The stairs leading to the downstairs bedrooms split apart and pinch your feet, so again wear shoes. There were holes in the bedroom walls and paint coming off in a few areas. Door handles were non-functional or falling out of the doors. The master closet is unusable due to the musty smell. It permeates anything you put in it. The pool area is not well maintained with broken tiles and mold present in the pool coping. Even the residents were complaining while we were in the pool area. It’s a major hike down and back from the pool so be ready. We realize this is an island and upkeep is hard, but the blatant misrepresentation and lack of communication regarding the numerous needed repairs was uncalled for. Had we known the true state we would have chosen somewhere else to stay. We have updated pictures of everything.
