Roker Street Retreat - Contemporary Kiwi Styled Studio

This luxurious spacious studio offers a contemporary, quiet retreat with a distinctly Kiwi feel.

Nestled in a fantastic neighbourhood close to the city and the hills, you'll have the best Otautahi (Christchurch) has to offer close at hand.

The studio boasts a super comfortable King bed, an ensuite with generous shower, built in home office and small lounge area.

The sun-drenched studio is located in the back garden of our Somerfield home. You'll have views of our newly established native garden.

Nespresso coffee, tea and herb tea are available in the room. There is also a small fridge and microwave. We are also well stocked with plates, bowls, glassware and cutlery if you would like to prepare basic food during your stay (leave all your dishes outside and we will replace them with clean ones).

Let us know if you would like to order a grazing platter or bottle of local wine for your stay. POA.

If you're here to enjoy the fantastic mountain biking on our doorstep, we are happy to store your gear securely in our garage.

If you have kids, we have two high-quality roll-away beds available for your use (extra fees apply per person). We also have a portable cot (with SnoozeShade) available by request (no additional charge).

Please note we have a $40 (NZ) cleaning fee for each booking.

Beautiful!!!!!! Book this! It is cozy and homey and really carefully decorated Nita a whole little studio apartment. The owner has added so many wonderful touche: coffee, tea, milk in then fridge, cereal, blow drier and hair straightened. It is so beautifully decorated and so clean. I would recommend to anyone. Stunning spot in peaceful neighbourhood

We loved our stay and hosts were SO thoughtful and considerate, paying attention to so many little details that made our stay so comfortable and wonderful. The decor is beautiful and lots of features in kitchenette. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again on our next visit to CHC

Lovely place and host!

Everything about our stay in Christchurch was perfect! Lucy was a very welcoming and accommodating host and her place was modern, clean, and very comfortable. We loved the location for being able to walk to the grocery store and a couple of eateries, too. Lucy was also very helpful in recommending activities for our short stay!

Roker street

We spent 3 nights and could not have been happier with our choice. Access to Christchurch is close and to good food choices. The space is clean, a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Like a hotel-suite in a leafy street

I loved staying at Roker Retreat. It was perfect for my business trip. So beautifully furnished and clean. It’s like a posh hotel suite in the suburbs ! The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept so well here. No traffic noise and great blinds. Plus I like the desk space and small area to make breakfast and heat some dinner. I’ll be back. Thank you so much!

Fantastic accommodation in Christchurch

Highly recommend this awesome accommodation in Christchurch. We were in Chch during the coldest month of the year and we were toasty warm in this lovely studio. It had everything we needed and was the perfect size for us. Super close and convenient to the city, heaps of free parking and the hosts Lucy and Callum were just lovely.

Classy Gem - perfection!

My husband and I had a fabulous mini-break in Christchurch last weekend. Lucy's retreat was so inviting and beautifully appointed. we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. Close enough to walk to town - in fine weather - and in a beautiful quiet street.

A place of calm in the city

Needing a 1 bedroom place to stay well then this retreat is perfect! Situated behind a beautiful bungalow with plenty of off street carparking is this gorgeous newly built 1 beddy with double glazing to keep the cool nights at bay. The whole place is spacious with plenty of room to spread out and relax. There's no minimum nights stay so that's a bonus for 1 nights stay. The owners are wonderful and cater to all your needs, especially late arrival. 😀 fantastic place to stay and will be kept on my list for the future.
