"The hotel was central & everywhere was easily accessible. It was clean, staff were friendly & the room was kept topped up with snacks. However, I was surprised to be contacted the day before to be told I had to pay in cash even though room was secured on credit card!! I then had to make appointment to check-in as there isn’t a receptionist there all the time. This was quite stressful as the trains were on strike so we kept having to re-arrange our arrival time to schedule our 15minute slot to...
"The view and staff make this place what it is. Waking up to waves crashing on the beach and the beautiful views of the riviera are awesome. Everything you need is walking distance, from shopping, dining and that historic hike through old town. "

"To sit and have breakfast outside by the pool was absolutely wonderful. The view from our room across the pool and over the gardens towards the sea was very special. The sea was very close ...just down a slight hill and across the road so no need to pay for a sun lounger if you fancied dip at the end of a day exploring.The staff are kind and helpful. The atmosphere is one of calm and i would absolutely go back in an instant."
"Fantastic. Clearly this the the most modern and luxurious hotel in San Remo about 50 years ago. since then it has been well maintained, but not really modernised much. "Location of this hotel is in the heart of the best restaurants and shopping. Very close to beach and family nightlife. We parked once at the hotel and everything was so conveniently close, that we truly did not need the use of our car. Our room had a balcony that was over the shopping street Via Giacomo Matteotti, loved to people -watch after a great dinner at Restaurante Mare Blu from that balcony, but had to stand.. did not ask for seating(do not know if chairs can be provided)
Also, hotel doesn't provide iron with board, but an iron is available to use in their basement...
Over all, this is super clean hotel and smells wonderful. Our room had a boiling pot, not a coffee pot which is what we prefer.-buy their wonderful Italian coffee on that street.
Tip* rent a moped to see the outskirt/small town- to explore the city... its all stop and go for pedestrians and traffic. "
