"Incredibly beautiful and peaceful retreat! The property is gorgeous - surrounded by greenery - sitting on the porch felt very serene. The house itself was well equipped and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The location was also great - it was close to attractions in Williamsburg and Jamestown. Highly recommend the Virginia Capital Trail nearby (we rented bikes at Spoke & Art Provisions Co. only 5 min away, and it was one of the highlights of our trip)! Would definitely stay at this lovely home again."

"We had a wonderful time here. The house was lovely with expansive river views in most of the rooms and an abundance of decks to enjoy the outdoors. Be aware that the house is on four levels so guests need to be prepared to navigate stairs. The grounds are beautiful and the vibe is very peaceful and oriented to nature. Just across the river are all of the historical sites and amenities within Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. We visited and enjoyed all three over the course of two separate days. With the ferry ride, plan on an hour to get to anything on the other side of the river but it's a peaceful and lovely crossing. The rest of our 9 day stay we relaxed on our side of the river. We had friends join us for the second half of our visit and the house easily accomodated everyone with a nice mix of privacy and group gathering spaces. Chippokes State Park is definitely worth a visit - great hiking along the river and interesting exhibits as the oldest working farm in the country. We tried two of the local restaurants (Surry Seafood Company and the Mexican restaurant) both were pleasant surprises - excellent fresh food well prepared). There is not much to do on the house side of the river but if you are looking for a peaceful place to relax, enjoy nature, connect with family or friends - it's a beautiful space I could highly recommend.
