"Everything lived up to the description. Kitchen very well stocked with pans, cutlery and dishes. I appreciated some options for storage since those are often lacking in rental properties. I also appreciated the shampoo etc in the bathrooms. The best part is the deck and creek. I really appreciated that the porch is gated at both ends so I didn’t have to worry about my dog running off. "The Tapoco Lodge is absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazing. The cabin we stayed in felt like everything was antique but somehow still new. My only complaint was that Expedia allowed me to book it as a pet-friendly room when the actual room I chose wasn’t pet-friendly. The Tapoco honored the reservation anyway and took care of us. They were terrific. My wife is already asking if we can stay here again. "

"The room was a nice size with 2 glider chairs, a desk and queen bed and room to move around!! The breakfast was delicious and very filling. The grounds with a mountain view were great for sitting and relaxing, in the morning we were lucky to see a ground hog sitting up in the yard.
