Great location

Lovely hotel in an ideal position by the river. Our only complains that there were very thin cardboard cups in the rooms for hot drinks. We understand they are trying to be eco friend it surely proper cups that can be washed are more environmentally friendly

Staff was outstanding, even helping us transport our bicycle panniers from the storage area up to our rooms and then making us a reservation to get dinner right before closing time at a local restaurant on a barge along the Loire. One of the best breakfasts we’ve had during our time in France

Nice stay and great views

The hotel is well-located in the center of the city, on the water. Unfortunately we had a room with a window on the street, but the Loire and the old Saumur made a great scenery for breakfast. The historic part of the city and all its restaurants are across the bridge, at most a 10 minute walk. The room was nice, the bed comfortable. The only negative point was the presence of a few hairs behind the bathroom door when we came in. The receptionist was quick, agreable and helpful, giving us tips on where to find a vegetarian option in the city.

Very worn out and outdated, from the carpets to door handles everything looks ancient; needs a major refurbishment urgently. Also very noisy, the rooms with river view are above the patio restaurant, so in the morning during breakfast, you hear loud cutlery sounds for 2-3 hours, are you not supposed to have a layin during holidays?

AIR CONDITIONNING SET TO 24DegC. Too hot! Because of flying bugs, we couldnt open the window, so we had to sweat. At night, the walk from the car park to the hotel is in the total obscurity. No solar powered light installed for the guest's security. These 2 issues are easy to fix.
