Lastly, please note that our cottage is located in a beautiful wooded lakeside neighborhood, which means you may encounter local wildlife during your stay. This could include deer, skunks, raccoons, otters, ducks, mice, spiders, wasps, bees, crickets, black flies, ants, and other creatures that naturally call Northern Michigan home. These animals and insects are part of the area's natural environment, and we have no control over their presence.
Seasonally, guests may also notice midge flies (often called lake flies), which typically peak during April and May when surface water temperatures reach around 60°F. Mayfly season generally occurs between mid-June and July. While they can be a temporary nuisance, neither midges nor mayflies bite humans or carry diseases.
We do our best to maintain the property, but Mother Nature ultimately runs the show. Because wildlife and seasonal insects are a natural part of the Northern Michigan experience, we are unable to offer refunds related to encounters with wildlife, insects, or other natural environmental conditions.

This little cabin is nestled in a quiet neighborhood right on the shores of Lake Huron and was the perfect jumping off point for hiking, snowshoeing, and exploring the surrounding area.
We stayed 5 nights and had beautiful weather and fall colors. This was close enough to Mackinac Island but within our budget. We spent our days around Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island and didn't have a chance to enjoy the home and it's views. That was unfortunate as this property had a wonderful view. The sun room was beautiful and well equipped with games and access to outdoor furniture and fire pit. The beds were comfortable.
A true 5 star experience.
Amazing views of Lake Huron right out the back door! Very comfortable cottage. Wished we could have stayed longer than we did, as it was a short stop on the way to Mackinac Island. Slight issue with entry lock code at first, but host corrected the situation immediately without hesitation. Would love to stay again in the future!
I highly recommend this property. Very clean and stocked with everything you need. Great location to many places. Beautiful view of Lake Huron and beautiful sunsets. I will stay here again for sure.
We had a great week at this cabin. We took advantage of driving to the UP and spending time on Mackinac Island as well. Other than a couple of minor edits that need to be made to this listing, everything was pretty much just as described. We enjoyed having a fire when we could, and relaxed viewing the lake all week. Such a wonderful view. Quiet and relaxing.
Nice, clean, well appointed cottage just steps to Lake Huron. A couple suggestions would be instructions for the thermostat as the program kept kicking the temp up to 72 which was too warm for us, having access to more towels and blankets would be helpful as there were 3 towels for 2 of us over 3 nights (with the humidity they didn’t dry very well). We did love our stay and would like to stay again.
Our stay was over the July 4th holiday week and the home was perfect for us (2 adult couples). We appreciated that some of the original lake cottage charm was retained through the updates. The lake view is incredible (both sunrise and sunset views!) and so we spent a lot of time outside. Loved the spacious swing in the yard, as well as the large firepit.
Nicely furnished home with plenty of room to share with more people, but nice for two adults too. Sun porch worked as a Michigan entry and kept the snow and wind away from the living area. Fireplace kept us toasty warm and such a nice perk when at the lake in winter. Lovely view of the lake and passing freighters. Alex was quick to respond to questions. We would visit this home again.
Puzzles and board games. Swam in the lake (refreshingly cool—not too cold. Say by the lake a lot. View from kitchen, sunroom, and living room through large windows that open so you can hear the waves and enjoy the fresh air. Cottage is cozy and is a very functional set up.
We had a great time. My husband and daughter doing a lot of rock hounding in Lake Huron. The house was awesome and we enjoyed every minute of our relaxing vacation. Thank you Adam & Alex for opening up your home.
We enjoyed a very nice week at this quiet property with lovely view of the lake and passing freighters. Enjoyed the fire pit and the grill and parks down the street. Wonderful to have a crib, high chair, and kid plates and silverware provided! Cute clean cabin to get away from it all, but close enough to town to grab coffee or groceries, enjoy a movie, and local restaurants. The Queenshead Pub is a must stop! Responsive hosts - would stay again!
It's clean and cozy with all the amenities you'd desire. The lake Huron waterfront is gorgeous.
We had good communication with the owners/managers.
Will be a repeat customer.
The property itself is a gem from the minute you step out of your car and smell the pines. It’s located in a large, forested subdivision with Lake Huron literally steps from the front door. We enjoyed the scenery, watching freighters pass by and the sound of the waves.
The cabin checked off all of our boxes for a 3-night Thanksgiving getaway - clean and updated, cozy, a working fireplace, room for 5 of us to comfortably sit and sleep, a full kitchen, a waterfront view and close to parks for hiking. Our family decided to get away for Thanksgiving since we wouldn’t be hosting our large family this year. I brought a turkey in a roasting pan and hoped for the best! The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and casserole dishes and the day went off without a hitch. In addition, the owners had decorated for Christmas which made it all the more festive.
If you’re looking for a place to connect with your people, we’d highly recommend this property!
The home was very nice! Fresh paint and new carpeting as well as new beds made the stay very comfortable. We absolutely loved the view and enjoyed watching both the sunset and sunrise and catching a glimpse of a freighter now and then! We would definitely stay at this property again :)
Our family of 6 had an incredible time relaxing and exploring the local Cheboygan, Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, and St. Ignace area. We fell in love with the area. The Lake Huron breezes blew through the cabin and my kiddos loved swimming and exploring at nearby Cheboygan State Park and fishing in Cheboygan’s Washington Park. The views of sunrise and sunset were breath taking. The cabin was the perfect place to relax and could have spent the whole week there just unplugging from the world. This is a truly special place and just what we were looking for for our family vacation. Thank you!
Nestled beautifully in a quite wooded neighborhood along Lake Huron in Cheboygan. If you are looking for a seclude cabin with direct access to Lake Huron, but close enough to do day trips.....STOP looking, this is IT!
Pros:
Location, location, location...just outside of Cheboygan only a 20 minute drive to Mackinaw City. Great location for exploring Northern Michigan or the UP. Also perfect for day trips to Mackinaw Island!
Lake Huron: the views for the bench swing are amazing! walk down to the neighborhood park for the best view of the sunset with Mackinaw Bridge in the distance.
Alex is great to work with, provide additional information about the Cheboygan area, keep us up to date with accurate check in/out information, even checked in to make sure that we arrived and enjoyed our stay!
The Cabin is stocked nicely with ample kitchen supplies, towels, beach towel, etc.
Cons: don't really have any!
The bed was a bit too soft for our preference.
The lake house had everything we needed! Great size for our family and breathtaking views from the living room, sunroom, kitchen. A little piece of paradise for the week. Waking up to the water and sunshine was the most relaxing trip I have taken in awhile!
