Formerly a hotel, this elegant building has been transformed into exclusive apartments. Ebbe Retreat is conveniently situated on the ground floor, and has retained many of its original features including a magnificent fireplace, solid oak flooring and an ornate doorway. The spacious living/dining room oozes style and opulence, and the high ceilings and huge windows enhance the light and airy ambience. The apartment benefits from a private outdoor area leading from the kitchen, ideal for dining al fresco. Guests also have shared use of the grounds. With two tastefully furnished double bedrooms and two fully tiled bathrooms, Ebbe Retreat will appeal to couples, families and the gathering of friends alike.

Beadnell is a popular holiday destination for those seeking a traditional seaside retreat. The village is often acknowledged as the ’Jewel in Northumberland’s Seaside Crown’ with the glorious stretch of golden sands of Beadnell Bay, attracting an array of water sport enthusiasts. Sea kayaking, kite surfing and scuba diving can all be arranged locally.

Only two miles north is the traditional port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly. The village offers a further range of shops, pubs and tea rooms, and horseriding, fishing and golf are all available.

Travel a few miles inland to the characterful, historic market town of Alnwick with its own dramatic castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Northumberland. Alnwick Garden boasts the largest treehouse restaurant in Europe and is also a popular visitor attraction. Beach ½ mile. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 150 yards.
