Charming cottage with swimming pool in the heart of the Monbazillac vineyard

"We stayed for a week, and it just wasn’t long enough.On arrival, we were greeted by Coralie and Alexander, who quickly showed us around the apartment before leaving us to settle in. They live on site, so they were always available if we needed anything but certainly didn’t intrude. The villa was immaculately clean, spacious, and in a great location—peaceful and surrounded by vineyards, yet just a 10-minute drive to Bergerac. A supermarket is only five minutes down the road, offering everything you could need. For a morning walk, there’s a lovely bakery, Boulangerie L’Epi d’Or, about 30 minutes away.The villa was well-equipped for cooking and dining in, with the added bonus of a BBQ in the garden. The washing machine and dryer were also really convenient.A wonderful place that we would happily return to."
"Lovely friendly staff, my upset at not having enough pillows and coat hangers was rectified immediately. The only downside was the breakfast was not worth the 10 E that it cost. Otherwise a comfortable stay. Would go again "
"Marie was one of the most welcoming hosts I've met. Her house was a beautiful authentic French cottage, rustic and charming. Set amongst the vineyards of Monbizzilac."
"In all a good holiday, but spoilt by minor issues. When asked about our arrival time we requested that we leave our cases at the property to have room to go shopping before our occupancy time. This was refused.
We identified a broken shower and faulty air conditioning unit and waited until the Monday to report. Shower was fixed on last day of stay and air conditioning unit remained unfixed. The heat in the bedroom meant poor and uncomfortable sleeping.
We were asked what time we planned to leave. We replied that the guest house would be available for cleaning on the Friday, and the last to leave would be CC 11.00am on Saturday. No thanks for allowing early cleaning of the Guest house and a curt reminder to vacate by 10am.
So we had the felling of being tollerated rather than welcome."

They have booked us Taxis, made us Pizzas, provided local information for buses, shops and restaurants, supplied extra towels and a hairdryer. The continental style breakfast is good value in price, and the facility is clean and well managed.
Everyone has spoken English, been polite, friendly and professional. This may be called a Hotel Ibis “Budget”, but it has high standards and all the staff work hard. Room 307 is at end of the corridor. It is a good size with separate shower (fabulous) and toilet."
