"The Hotel is situated in the party side of Birmingham. Literally walk out and everything is right there, pubs and restaurants galore. I would have given 5 stars, but the parking cost is really high, just over £16 a day. "

"Good location, it is near the canal where we have quite a few choices of restaurants, also it is in walkable distance to the city center or if you need there is tram straight to city center from the front of the hotel. Great amenities, good security and the hotel is clean and clean. Just a couple things: the car parking entrace can be missed and bathroom door faulty coudn't be closed but not a big issue for a couple. "

"Value for money but very basic Was made aware that it had no bar/restaurant well in advance so that was OK. The absence of kettle/tea-making facilities in the room was a surprise. The place is fine, and the staff very helpful, but the place if suffering from neglect and appears to be old-fashioned. However for the price I was charged, it was OK."

"Extremely pleasant stay at The Barns for a couple of nights while we were visiting for a family wedding. Staff were very accommodating and friendly and the rooms were large, with a VERY comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. There was a good choice for breakfast with plenty to set you up for the day. We would definitely return as we felt welcome and comfortable. "

"Great hotel in Lichfield. We did parkrun last Saturday and the breakfast staff were very helpful and made a bacon sandwich as we would miss breakfast times. Room 74 thank you. All staff friendly and polite. Comfortable room. "

A great hotel with great staff

"This hotel is fantastic value for money in a great location. We stayed for the weekend to attend Lichfield Festival at Beacon park, which the hotel is perfectly located for. The hotel staff were fully booked and worked their socks off. They had sufficient parking with an attendant on the entrance to ensure that hotel guests could get a space. Check in was easy at the end of the evening and breakfast was superb. The only tip I would have which is not a criticism, is to close the window at night as the rooms either are on a main road or you can hear noise from breakfast being set up on from the carpark from 6am. No aircon but a fan was in the room and was fine. A great team who made our stay really comfortable land will definitely return. "

"Arrived to find all lights out. Rang up and was informed the keys were under a rock outside. Room was clean but the mattress on the bed was cheap and worn out. It rates as the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. TV was on a low table instead of the wall resulting in a stiif neck to watch it. Nothing in local area to improve my opinion. I will not be staying again."
