Exceeded expectations. The staff were warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with the plenty of options. I was limited on time and Divya insisted on preparing waffles for me and wrapping the plates in foil for me to carry to my room. She went above and beyond and I’m still so impressed with her kindness and the way she interacted with other guests getting breakfast. She’s a gem. I asked for the names of the other staff, because each made the stay more enjoyable. It was a quick overnight for us to attend a funeral. Would definitely recommend this property, and plan to stay again when in town. Divya-food, Jerry-GM, Irina-housekeeping, Shanell-front desk. Kudos!

This property is extremely old and rundown. The quality and condition of the room was very poor and a musty old smell lingered in all the hotel hallways and odor greeted us when we entered the room. The carpets throughout the hotel and room are threadbare and bunched up or missing in many areas. There are chips and cracks on counters and in the sink in the bathroom and kitchen and mold and rusted areas in the shower and a very old dirty feel of the grout surrounding the tiles. The air conditioning does not regulate well for humidity and left a moistness in the air and sheets/towels. When it was turned down, the air in the room was stagnant and that unpleasant odor remained. The tub was not secure and moved when you were in it. There was no tissue box holder and quality of the paper products was poor. The breakfast was average, but did not having fresh fruit other than bananas. The one excellent exception was the staff. They were extremely pleasant and helpful. We travel to this area about 4 times a year and due to this experience we will not be staying at this property in the future. I am a loyal Marriott member and have become accustomed to a higher level of quality in their properties. This really turned us off.

My favorite charlotte hotel. Rooms feel huge, because of great layout. Super clean and tidy hotel. Back off the road so it's not noisy close to alot of shop and restaurants. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Good parking.

Some of the staff was very friendly. Even though we didn't use the amenities, it was great to have them. Breakfast overall was good. The only complaints I have was the hallway leading up to our room was dimly lit and the couch, bed and pillows were not comfortable.
