"We loved our time in Charlevoix. This big beautiful house was a good fit for our large family group, ages 1 thru 71.Pros - location is fantastic: fun beach access, beautiful views from the porch, and an easy walk to downtown. Plenty of bathrooms, and most bedrooms with queen-sized beds, which can be hard to find. We had a couple of maintenance issues that the host resolved right away, which was much appreciated. Cons - lots of small rooms, so no easy place for the whole group to gather together for meals, etc. The house is old and has its quirks, and shows some wear and tear inside. The listing says “air conditioned,” so we were surprised to find it in only 1 room (one of the 2 small kitchens) with a window unit. Luckily, the weather was not overly hot and there were fans, but a bit misleading.Overall, it’s a great old house, with a lot of history and character, in a terrific location. Would return. "

"If you’re going to be in Charlevoix, try to stay somewhere with a view of the water. This location is ideal for that. It is easy to walk to everything downtown. It is also easy to walk to Michigan Beach. If you have more than two people, The pullout couch is not comfortable but it gives you another space for a 3rd person. Our adult daughter slept there and was fine. Small fridge for just a few things. We had breakfast there each morning and enjoyed our coffee on the balcony. The housekeeping staff was wonderful! Parking felt secure.I would stay there again."
