A terrific home!

Was in town for a long weekend with old college friends and wanted a place within walking distance of the sites and bars and restaurants. This home fit the bill perfectly! Would highly recommend!

Stayed for a few days, you’re a bit further out from all the action but the neighbourhood is quiet and the baby monitor reaches to the bar downstairs!!

Charming Charleston Home

It was close enough to walk to everything in downtown Charleston, but had the added convenience of being able to get in and out of the city quickly. It is a charming home and gives the vibe of what you would imagine in the downtown area. Lots of little bars and restaurants around within a couple of blocks.

80 year old birthday bash

I rented the property to host a birthday weekend for my mother turning 80! She had three friends and I had my three kids and the house was perfect!! Enough room for everyone and three bathrooms! Neighborhood was cute and easy to navigate. We’ll be back!

Great place and location! Can hear noises outside/around

The property itself is great! Lots of space and it is close enough to walk to a lot of places in Charleston! There were great local restaurants and shops nearby! Just keep in mind that this is an older place and there is a wine bar below. We could hear a lot of activity outside throughout the week. One night the bar below had music and we could definitely hear it, it was over by 11 pm, so it really didn’t bother us.

Girls trip

It is a lovely home, done up very tastefully , and very clean. Comfortable king sized beds and pillows. The only issue I can think of is the stairs leading to the two bedrooms on the 2nd floor is rather narrow and tricky , and since there is no bathroom on that floor , it was a little tricky if one had to use the restroom at night . Besides that , the location, and the host were excellent

My family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 30 Bogard. The beds and pillows and linens were very comfortable, the space worked nicely and the location was lovely being close to good restaurants and shopping and strolling the beautiful streets. We also enjoyed ducking into the MiniBar wine restaurant below! The music never got too loud. Some things could have been improved. The second floor porch was very dusty and disheveled so we had to sweep and wipe chairs down to enjoy. There were luggage scrapes along the walls of the stairwells that would have easily been cleaned with a Magic Eraser sponge. There was an odd assortment of glassware and we needed to call in for more wine glasses. The bathtub had no stopper, so one was delivered promptly upon request. All said, I would recommend it to anyone of those few suggestions could be fixed. Thanks!

Look thru details to see if this is right for you

First night quite a few light bulbs did not work, doorknob came completely out of a bathroom door when closing it. The other half was found the next day in a cabinet. We found spiders under our sheets in the master bed. I msgd maintenance and he said they would take care of it next day. I asked him to set light bulbs on kitchen counter for third floor bedrooms so people in those rooms could continue to sleep. Maintenance did show. He sprayed for bugs, installed the door knob and then woke up the other guests to replace light bulbs and spray those rooms as well. I did appreciate the quick response but for price we paid I would have expected to not have to do this much maintenance and calls during our vacation. The commercial mini bar only closed at 10 once in the 6 days we were there. We had a wedding on Sunday and had to start our day at 8:30 am. The music and people noise went on until almost 1:00 am. The noise from the bar is very loud. More bulbs went out and one in second floor bathroom goes out when you plug in appliance like hairdryer. Also beware 2 of 3 bathrooms have no sink counter so your makeup and hair items are on floor. We stopped calling on continued maintenance needs as we were busy. Check in was easy. Nice to have a parking spot. There’s a few restaurants within walking distance. We would not stay here again but it did provide a place to sleep for everyone. The noise machines were a necessity with lots of helicopter noise for trauma center nearby.

We rented this property because it was a four bedroom. The location was excellent but the two bedrooms on the third floor have no bathrooms or closet the other bathrooms. There was one good size bathroom the others were very tiny. There’s a bar next-door and on the weekends and Wednesday night, it is right below you and it gets noisy

Wonderful!

We had a great stay in Charleston! The apartment was spacious, with plenty of room for six adults. The location was in a quiet neighborhood, but within 20-30 minutes walking distance of many Charleston sites. I would definitely stay here again!

Just perfect!

We had three couples who wanted to park our cars and enjoy Charleston! First, the house is charming! Loved everything about it. Second, the walk-ability factor was perfect! We were able to quickly walk to all the fun. The hidden surprise restaurants and businesses were amazing! Finally, we loved the little bar attached to the place! What an awesome hidden treasure with a welcoming and fun atmosphere!

Charming home and convenient location

We stayed here for a girls weekend in Charleston and were impressed with the comfort, spacious rooms and living area, and the walking proximity to all of Charleston’s activities. The home has all of the essentials and check-in/check-out was easy. The quaint neighborhood minibar is attached to the building so there is some noise in the evening but it closes early and was not disruptive for us at all. We would definitely stay again!

The perfect pivot

My family and I had an excellent experience with this host and home! When I needed to find a first-floor bedroom unit for my elderly grandmother, they were incredibly helpful in locating the perfect home for us in the heart of Charleston. Our original home was one of their bigger multi- floor homes that would have been great too, but we really needed a 1st floor bedroom. The transition was seamless, and the new home itself was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near all the places we wanted to be. Whenever we had minor issues or questions —like the dryer malfunctioning and coffee pot mishap—the host responded promptly and took care of everything right away. Communication was always clear, timely, and very friendly. I highly recommend this host, this home and their other properties for anyone looking for a stress-free stay in well-cared-for property. Thank you for making our time here so enjoyable!

Great place

This historical home for sure has some stories to tell! The home is beautiful, well maintained and clean. Its location is great and on a fairly quiet street. Walkable to many destinations and easy to grab an uber to go explore. Communication with the property manager was smooth. They were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended but don’t put the people with the biggest suitcase on the top floor.

Beware of the "adjacent" wine bar

"About this Property" states that "On weekends there may be live acoustic music + ambient noise until 10pm." The reality was on weekends there will definitely be a very loud singer with a guitar plugged into an amplifier playing "Friends in Low Places" to a sing along crowd until MIDNIGHT. Very frustrating night for our 75 year old aunt who was sleeping (or attempting to) in the bedroom right above!!! No noise machine in the world could have drowned it out. Otherwise, it was great! Easy check in experience. Maybe consider staying during the week but I wound NEVER book this again on a weekend!
