Hotel is very dated. Only two of the three elevators were working and it was a busy holiday weekend. I took the stairs numerous times do to the elevator wait (8 floors) Bathroom was very small. Excellent location

Disappointed there was no pool. Hotel doesn’t offer the amenities that the others do. The bar and restaurant lacked atmosphere. Would not stay here again.

Really great property. Many of the amenities weren’t shared with me at check in AT ALL that didn’t make or break my trip but would’ve been really nice to know! FYI If you’re looking for quiet at night DO not stay in the front end of the hotel there’s a rooftop bar that keeps you up till they close if you’re a light sleeper. Also avoid being near the ice machine if you can I was sandwiched between that and the music and it wasn’t fun. Definitely will be specific next time I book but overall the history and esthetics were really beautiful!

AWESOME location in Charleston if you are shopping or even visiting the college. Restaurants galore within walking distance. Bike taxis and Uber are readily available.

The staff went above and beyond when I arrived and my friend was having a medical emergency. The manager Caitlyn got a wheelchair, got me situated and got aid for my friend. She checked on me the rest of time I was there and her and her team even sent me chocolate covered strawberries to make me feel better! Amazing management team. The staff is top notch and I will never stay anywhere else after seeing how they handled this medical emergency.

Bathrooms are way too small, nonissue for a over night stay. TVs need to updated to streaming capable. Air conditioning system isn’t efficient and should be updated as well.

Bathroom was very small which I suppose is to be expected in a historical building; however they should at least install more than one towel hook. It was awkward with no place to put your clothes, , towel or hairdryer. Need hooks and shelves

Loved all but the small bathroom. Shower curtain kept sticking to my legs and a bit hard to not get water on the floor. Nice restaurant and bar, lovely staff, EXCELLENT beds!!

What a beautiful historic hotel overlooking the lovely city of Charleston and the bay. The hotel lobby is stunning and the staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean and large allowing for a comfortable stay.

Unfortunately had to share 1 Queen bed instead of having 2 queen beds as originally requested when booking the room on Expedia. My 16 year old and I made it work, but it wasn’t the most comfortable sleeping arrangement.
