My niece and I enjoyed our stay at this cottage! The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the historical nature of the cottage. Check out Bad Bunnies for coffee in the morning. And Vern's was a 10/10 for dinner!
This cottage has everything you need to enjoy a visit to Charleston and the surrounding areas. You can walk to a restaurant, little convenience store or drive to Charleston’s attractions. We took our grandson to Charleston for his first visit and had a great time.
House was very clean. Had all the amenities that I needed - except a baking sheet! Nice towels, linens. Quiet neighborhood. Older neighborhood, but felt very safe. Under two miles to the downtown Charleston area - I walked it. Very doable. My only recommendation would be to add a deadbolt lock to the kitchen door that opens to the outside. Would just feel a little more secure - or a latch on the inside maybe.Bathroom is downstairs, so you have to navigate stairs in the middle of the night, if you’re one of those people and that’s a concern for you.Parking was great - right behind the cottage. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Communication with owner was great. Responded very quickly to all questions.
My furbaby and I enjoyed several days just relaxing. Walking distance to coffee and pastries in the morning and conveniently located everywhere else we wanted to go. Very clean and cozy!
The place was clean and comfortable. However, the price I paid was the same as a 2 bedroom, ocean front condo on Isle of Palms the last time we were here. I will stay there if and when I come back. Love Charleston!!!
Had a blast staying over the 4th of July at this place. It was hot which was to be expected, but the lower floors were very cool during the day and at night. Thank you!
Location was perfect, super walkable. Fuel Cantina and Holey City Bagels were conveniently close-by. Food was great everywhere we visited. Downtown Charleston including all attractions were within walking distance for us (could be a bit long for others who aren’t walkers)…it was a beautiful, pleasant walk to and from. Charleston City Market, The Lost History of Black Charleston walking tour led by historian and educator Damon Fordham, and Folly Beach were among my favorite experiences. My friend enjoyed the wine complimentary of the Vrbo, which was a nice way to cap off our wonderful stay in Charleston. We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning. Oh and the mattress was super comfortable. We slept well.
This property is a cute, cozy cottage in a walkable neighborhood with a few breakfast options, restaurants/bars, and shops on King Street. Off-street parking was a great bonus! For a shorter stay, the cottage was just what we needed and had lots of charm. The bed was so comfortable! The layout was fine for us; however, some may not like that the bathroom is so separate from the bedroom (downstairs then up two steps and through the kitchen) for bathroom trips in the middle of the night. Check-in and check-out were easy with great communication from owners.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Cute cottage
Be careful of the kitchen door it opens by itself. Needs a deadbolt. Also there is no bathroom upstairs and no way to turn the stairway light off or on from upstairs. Otherwise very clean.
Central location with responsive host. You’re staying in an older home, so expect noisy floorboards and stairs. The interior is well maintained and kitchen felt clean. The memory foam mattress is a bit worn down, so you have to find your spot or move a lot through the night (we were achy after first night). Most of the blinds won’t open, leaving the downstairs fairly dark.It was a great last minute find after the holidays.Off street parking was a big plus.
Everything was exactly as listed! We had a great three night stay in Charleston at this property, would definitely recommend to friends and will hopefully come back to stay soon!
The property was easy to access, and onsite parking off the street was great! We were close to restaurants, a great coffee shop (sightsee), and our friend who we were visiting. Highly recommend this property! Also the communication by YOURPAD was on point.
We loved the location as we were within walking distance of much of what we had planned throughout downtown. The neighborhood is quiet and the apartment itself is cozy while offering plenty of space for two people to lounge in comfortably. As other reviews noted, the loft area does get warmer than the rest of the house, but the box fan provided made the nights comfortable for sleeping.
First, great communication with host, very responsive- neighborhood was very quiet and walkable, close to really great coffee places- Bad Rabbit - and restaurants- beach 25 minutes away. Cottage was very clean and towels super soft, bed comfortable- washing machine was a bonus- parking was well lit- highly recommend
Old but kept up nicely. Everything work, bed was comfortable, all amenities you could ask for or need. Location was excellent, walking distance to everything!
