Staff was great, very polite and attentive. The room could have been cleaned better. Location is perfect being a block away from Kings Street.

Best part of the hotel is the staff. All is good except hotel needs updated. Staff was pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good and the 24 hour bar was a nice touch.

Elevator signs and other facility signs should be more visible color and size wise compare to the room numbers. On the first day, I had to figure out a bit to find the sign for the elevator. Other guests felt the same. Hair dryer was so dirty and the handle was melted with dust.

Great location across the street from Visitors Center and free buses. Lots of restaurant and shopping options and accross street from Charleston museum and Manigault House. Free breakfast included. Property was well kept and quiet except for employee leaf blowing below bedroom windows at 8:30 on a Sunday. After notifying front desk it soon stopped. Only downside was no refrigerator in rooms.

Great location. The hotel overall is a little tired. Of all Hampton Inns, because of this location, I feel they don't pay too much attention since they get business. New staff needs training. There was one young woman who really had no idea about restaurants or the surrounding area.Room carpets need updating.

Difficult to find (address doesn't lead you to any parking), and the outlet in the bathroom did not work. Room was very cramped and cold (64 degrees) when we arrived.

This property was a 10 out of 10 for me. Budget friendly with a free delicious breakfast each day. To our surprise, we found out the free city shuttle and the visitor center was right across the street from the hotel. So convenient. We were steps away from King Street with all the shopping and restaurants. Breakfast never ran out of food or coffee. Housekeeping was great, front desk was helpful. Nice pool area which we were too busy to use !

The good, the bad and the ugly. First the good, the hotel and grounds are great, conveniently located and stylish. The lobby is welcoming, Heather at the front desk was great, and the breakfast is a welcome surprise from the normal terrible selection at most other places that say they include a breakfast. The bad is awful in-room coffee, stained furniture, uncomfortable beds, awful signage and tight overpriced parking arrangements that immediately set the tone for your stay. The ugly is just how downhill Charleston is going with a near constant smell of garbage as you walk around, homeless in the parks and classless snobs blasting music from the open windows of their Porches and Range Rovers. The increased cost of everything, additional fees every time you turn around including the right to change or cancel your reservations and rewarding you with 2 plastic bottles of warm water for being an Honors member just adds injury to insult. While it wasn't a bad stay, I will definitely try somewhere else next time I am forced to visit.
