Grand Oaks Cottage: Ideal Location!

This charming cottage is a haven tucked off of Folly Road. Only 5 minutes from Folly Beach and 8 minutes from downtown historical Charleston.
The porch over looks a large back yard that is framed in by four majestic Grand Oaks that are draped with Spanish Moss, hence how the cottage was named. While relaxing it is possible to see occasional wildlife!

There is a large driveway for big toys!
Grocery store, restaurant/bar and brewery right across Folly Rd.

The charm of the place is that it's tucked off the road! Rafael Lane can be tricky to find. Get in the median right across from Bohemian Bull restaurant. The dirt road is on the left. After turning onto the Lane, take a right at the first drive and come straight back down a gravel drive. There will be a larger house on right with the cottage after.

Beautiful inside and out. Clean and well manicured yard. The property was peaceful and quite, yet close to Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. We loved our little weekend get a way and would definitely stay here again. I loved reading about the history to the property, that was an added touch!Stacy was the best, she responded quickly to my messages and was very helpful!

Very cute and cozy cottage!

We loved the cottage! It was in a quiet area and the road noise was very faint offering a peaceful experience which is nice when you have a dog with anxiety like mine. There were no distractions around so he was a very happy pup! The kitchen and restroom was well equipped and the laundry room is just a short walk next door! The porch was also a big plus! Thank you to our hosts for a great stay!

We had a great stay! The owner is very helpful with any questions we had, and went out if his way to help us have a great stay. The cottage had everything we needed. The location is perfect and a short drive to the beach and downtown. Thanks for a great place for a memorable mom and daughter trip.

Calm cottage in a central location

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The cottage had everything we needed, plus a large outdoor area to enjoy the nice weather under the beautiful oak trees. It was in a perfect location, close to Folly Beach and nearby family on James Island. We’d definitely visit again!

Fun Labor Day Getaway

Really nice quiet getaway for Labor Day weekend! Easy drive to and from the beach, very private and relaxing atmosphere. Really only complaint was that it got a little hot in the cottage at night, so you may want to bring an extra fan. Super cute place with everything you need!

cutest little bungalow

hidden down a dirt road, this cute little bungalow has charm and a fun outdoor party room. About 7 minute drive from the beach, was a nice option from staying directly in Folly beach.

Wonderful place

Beautiful property and building/s and a wonderful place for our family to stay. Had a 4 year old and 7 month old for our first big trip together. Great communication from property owner and manager. The outdoor space was wonderful and we appreciated the proximity to both beach and downtown.

Home Away From Home

Absolutely loved our stay. The area is so beautiful and the house we stayed in was just the perfect size for us. Close to everything Charleston had to offer. The owners were extremely friendly. A pet-friendly hidden gem!

We loved our stay at Grand Oaks Cottage. The owner, Andy, was so kind and accommodating. Our dogs enjoyed the yard, we loved having bonfires and eating breakfast on the screened porch. The small AC unit worked really well! And the shower has very strong water pressure. We were amazed how accessible the location is to both folly beach and downtown Charleston. Other than the occasional airplane and background traffic sounds, we felt tucked away in our own little paradise!

Lovely little house

The house was nice and perfectly located to everything we were interested in seeing. My daughter loved playing outside and the swing. We even got to see a hawk that would visit the back yard frequently!

Location is perfect. Accommodations are accurately listed.

Loved how close it is to Folly Beach without being right in the busyness. Lots of privacy. Only 2 pinch points were the comfiness of the chairs on the back porch. We spent a lot of time there with our toddler sleeping in the house and the chairs aren't great for long sits. And then the driveway off of the main road is tricky and we smacked the bottom of our minivan a few times. But truly a great place to stay and the hosts are awesome and friendly.

Great location for Folly beach access and good restaurants.Not such a crowded area so driving was good. Close to downtown Charleston. With in 1/2 mile to at least 3 grocery stores Great outdoor grilling and TV area. Very friendly and very nice host. Beautiful landscaped area around house and the indoors was comfortable.
