This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.
Getting Around:
You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Luggage storage offered Monday- Friday at our main office from 8:30am-5pm. On weekends we recommend utilizing Bounce Luggage storage. Please inquire once booking is complete for the address!

Well laid out suite. The kitchen had everything that you needed. It was very close to King Street making it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Having on site parking was a major plus!

We loved our stay here! The location is great, the communication was excellent and they even offer luggage storage!! The icing on the cake was we could order goodies ahead of time. We had beer, wine and snacks ready for our arrival.
Super close to shop , eat and grab a drink , get groceries Everything is within a few mins walk. Very easy get in and out .. super clean place. will stay again on next trip.
We had a great stay! We were here for one night with our dog. We enjoyed the location and walked quite a bit. We were very thankful for the parking spot. The apartment was comfy and spacious.
Loved the unit and the location. So many great restaurants to walk to. Had to drive to go downtown, but it was a quick 5-10 min drive depending on where we wanted to go. But if you’re in Charleston to eat and drink, there’s no need to drive anywhere!

The property is central to a lot of great places to eat and shop with free, clean public transportation to the waterfront, aquarium, and the market along with many other areas of the city. The property itself is super cute and fully functional the minute you step inside. Slept like a baby and enjoyed space just to chill in comfort!
The place was super clean! Plenty of dishes and towels. The bed was amazing! So comfortable I could barely make myself get up. It's on a pretty busy road which made the "people watching" from the balcony, enjoyable day and night.
I'm giving this entire stay a 10 out of 10 stays!
Great location to shopping, food, historical tours, and many tourist attractions. All things within walking distance. 1 free off street parking space provided. Area can be a little noisy but you are near everything so that is expected. Would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful location with many restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was spacious, AC worked well, and the bed was very comfortable. Some guests have reported street noise since the bedroom faced the street, and while this is certainly true didn't bother us. While off street parking is a plus, the allotted spots (which belonged to more than one property) were extremely tight to accommodate today's SUVs. This was a concern. Also, the stairway leading to this upstairs apartment was very steep (this is a very old house) and the handrail only covered half of the staircase.
Just right, this fit our needs perfectly. Very convenient to King street and shopping. The bed was very comfortable. The shower water pressure was excellent, only complaint I have is the sink water pressure was very weak. It is on a busy street and sits right off the sidewalk, as it is downtown Charleston, also means it’s noisy at night, but this did not bother us at all. Just mentioning for those sensitive to outside noise. Overall very pleased with our stay, we had everything we needed and it was a wonderful visit!
The location is central and provides easy access to the downtown area. That was very nice. However, the location is very noisy. That may not bother some, but we find it difficult to sleep with significant street noise. The location on a busy street was not disclosed in the listing. In addition, the mini split AC system was also very noisy, particularly in the seating area. Also, we timed our stay there so we could do some laundry. However, the dryer was not working. The host made arrangements to take the laundry somewhere else, which was appreciated. It was very inconvenient.
This property was a block off of King Street and is advertised accurately. You need to set your expectations realistically as most of the properties in the Low Country are older and have been renovated. The good:
- The location is excellent. We are walkers and did not rent a car, although there is an off street parking area which is great. The entire Downtown area was walkable for us. We visited the Aquarium, Fort Sumter, the Citadel, the Market and the entire length of King Street over our 4 night stay.
- The bed is comfy and the unit was clean. It is showing wear and has uneven floors as is to be expected in an old structure. The deck is a nice touch for the upstairs unit. We spent evenings out there regularly. Coffee was provided along with a water filtering pitcher.
- Communication with David was excellent and checkin/checkout was a breeze. He always responded to our questions through the VRBO app within minutes.
The realities:
- If you have an issue with noise while sleeping, especially on weekends, you may be disappointed. There are white noise machines but just realize that the bedroom is right on the street and there is traffic noise.
- There are stairs up to the unit. If you cannot navigate stairs, you may want to opt for the ground floor unit. The lighting outside at night was more than adequate to help in getting in and out of the unit.
Overall, we had a great time in Charleston and would not hesitate staying here again. Good value for the money!
