Very nice property with splendid brasserie and lounge bar outside. Staff is very helpful without having the feeling that it is “forced behaviour”. Very clean and contemporary hotel. 1 remark : the sink of my bathroom was not cleaned upon arrival, all the rest was perfectly ok so I assume it was just forgotten but at least something to be checked by the floor cleaning supervisor… But again… overall it was a great experience 👍

Vending machines were empty. The first half of the hotel is quite nice. The back half, where we stayed, is a bit tired and out of date.

Bad customer service.
Hotel claims to have shuttle to and from the airport. They don't, they use a ver bad taxi company. I called the hotel to pick us up at 11:15 pm and didn't show up until 12:35 am. They refused to reimburse me if I took another taxi. So, to apace us, they gave breakfast, which we normally don't eat. No discounts for the room nor return to airport. I would not recommend them.

Some highs and some lows at this place.
We'll start with the highs: Probably the best shower I've had. Took a little while to warm up, but had really good pressure and felt really nice. You could use both the shower and the handheld shower at the same time. The is no grips on the floor of the shower so it becomes slippy with soap. If I'd have been travelling with my wife then the separate toilet and bathroom is a good feature. The room I booked was spacious. Lots of pillows on the bed and a good area to work. A few of the TV channels didn't work, but as the TV is a smart TV then I just used the YouTube app. Live entertainment in the restaurant was good and they played a wide range of music. The lows: Probably the worst meal of my trip. Nothing really suited my preference from the starters menu so I ended up ordering Nachos. They should have called it chips and salsa as thats all it came with. Very plain and unappealing. Only ended up eating 1/5 of them. I then ordered ribs as again nothing took May fancy. Burgered and beefed out from my trip. Some chicken would have been nice, settled on Ribs. When they arrived they were so dry. The portion size was good though. Chips and salad was nice. Didn't get any real attention from the waiting staff to ensure the food was OK. I saw burgers going past that looked like they could have been a better choice. Booked the transfer service from he front desk as I needed to get to Charleroi airport for my flight in the mo

Astonishingly good experience
The food and service was excellent. My expectations are modest for airport hotels but Van der Valk set a new standard. The restaurant was super, the staff attentive and the menu quality and reasonable.A special mention to Mo on reception, who went beyond his duties to recover my mobile phone from a local taxi firm who were not about to return it. His persistence and skill meant that I didn't have a very difficult evening without cards and a phone. Great job Mo!

This is an airport hotel and quite large, so it gets some rough treatment and bears the marks. It’s a nice jumping off point for an early flight. This time the Libby was total chaos with mobs of people. Disagreeable.

Super hotel!
Very comfortable hotel with excellent restaurant and bar. Bar open to 12 and food available to 10pm. Check in/out is quick and efficient. Rooms are standard decent quality - clean and comfortable. Good English spoken ..no problem It is further from the airport than you might expect and the entrance can take some finding! Breakfast is expensive but very good. Stuff yourself and prepare to miss lunch! I'd definitely stay here again

Very good restaurant and wine selection in the adjacent bar. The hotel is older and some areas haven’t had upgrade or recent renovation.

Was wholly disappointed in this hotel. My room was very dated and felt a bit grubby. There was no soap in the bathroom by the sink and when I asked i was told to use the wall dispenser of shampoo in the shower. Which meant every time i wanted to wash my hands I had to step one foot into the bathtub to be able to reach it. I was given 3 shoeshine kits but a bar of soap is out of the question?

Large and modern room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Although branded as a "airport" hotel it was located approximately 5 kilometers from the airport itself - we had to take a taxi to get to and from the airport. A grocery store was conveniently located just across the road from the hotel.

The word Fabulous should not be used
I had to leave a review because there is no way that this hotel should be considered ‘fabulous.’ It’s so misleading. I would call it ‘solid’ ‘gets the job done’ ‘nice price’ But the decor is really dated-like late 90s and just seemed sad. I booked this hotel because I was leaving very early from Charleroi airport and it did it’s job

A good Hotel to stay in if you have an early departure from/late arrival at Charleroi Airport. Great choice in the Restaurant for both breakfast and dinner.

Fantastic hotel close to airport
Duplex suite wow stayed here many times in a standard hotel room but recently discovered that the hotel has a duplex suite with sauna and jacuzzi bath Complete with a kitchenette 2 balconies and a fireplace what a treat when you are working away on business probably couldn’t afford it every time but well worth the extra Have never tried the breakfast as we leave too early but the evening buffet is great value at 30€ per person or 40 € with drinks very extensive with live cooking for the main course highly recommended on a Friday and Saturday evening Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming looking forward to next time

Good bang for the buck!
This an airport hotel and feels like it. There must be pretty heavy traffic. NOISY rooms. Hall noise. Room noise.

It is a an excellent hotel. We had a very big room, Nice coffee and tea maker in the room. Breakfast is great with lots of choices. There was a mix up with the tax which they wanted to charge twice but this was resolved without complications.

My stay was very convenient, I had a flight at 8am and it took me only 10 minutes to get to the airport with the shuttle bus.
