Idyllic romantic country retreat on the borders of East Devon & South Somerset
The Orchard was created from an old byre in 2023 and is light and airy with the most wonderful panoramic views which can be enjoyed both from the ground floor living and the mezzanine bedroom area through the east facing full height glass wall. The property benefits from a fully equipped mini kitchen, Nespresso Vertuo coffee maker and has a walk in dressing area and two bathrooms (one with bathtub ensuite to the bedroom area and a shower/WC on the ground floor). It is very private with its own terrace overlooking a lavender planted private seating area. The bedroom and dressing area have some slight height restrictions. The Orchard is set in a rural and idyllic location in South Somerset just 20 minutes from Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast’s stunning beaches such as Beer, Branscombe and Sidmouth; Perfect for a relaxing, quiet, romantic break, it is between two working farms on the open west slope looking East towards the River Axe valley and beyond to the Dorset AONB. It is a place of quiet blissful peace, at times, enriched by the sight of cows, sheep and lambs grazing nearby; Discover country pubs with beer on tap in untouched Devon and Somerset villages and food destinations such as Tytherleigh Arms which is within walking distance or River Cottage which is a short drive away. Take walks straight from your front door or on the many beaches or along the South West Coastal Path. Explore the picturesque lanes of Lyme Regis to find the Strawberry Tree Cafe or Town Mill Bakery for brunch/lunch or dinner or revel in the magnificence of Exeter cathedral which is within easy reach by car.
