"The most magical place I've been to! The hotel is an old estate and they have redone it beautifully. The staff was first class, the food delicious and there were so many activities to sign up for! Spa was impressive with the hydrotherapy, cold plunge and different saunas! We will definitely go back!!"

"An incredible location but you definitely need a car to get there. It’s high up in the hills. Narrow roads but easy to find with Google maps. Host does not speak English but daughters do. Beautiful continental breakfast with sliced meats & cheese, yogurt, cereals and muesli, coffee, tea, jams & cake. "

"This place is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. It is a vineyard on the side of a mountain so getting up there is steep and not for the faint of heart. Once you arrive, there is lots of parking available. Although there is no reception and we didnt receive our checkin instructions ahead of time, we called the number and received our instructions over the phone. Youll receive your code to retrieve your physical keys from a box, then youll be able to enter the main building and 2nd key for your room (we had a room with the view of the vineyards). Breakfast was absolutely delicious and they made sure to have lots of food, the two ladies were kind and helpful every morning. I would highly recommend this place if you want to experience something authentic and beautiful! "

"Beautiful property in the beautiful Douro Valley with a nice pool. There is no winery on site, but it is in the middle of beautiful vineyards. You can go down the road to Pinhao or to St. Eufemia Winery for a tour. Breakfast was great and the staff was very accomodating. Great price for a beautiful stay. The property would benefit from some more outdoor leisure areas to sit peacefully and enjoy the view other than the balcony of your room or the pool/deck. Lenore at the desk was very nice and very helpful."
