"Probably the best option if you want to spend a vacation in Chania. Spotless clean, professional staff, grest swimming pool, excelent breakfast.Close to Old Town and even closer to the endless restaurant strip.One of the best lodging option I ever had ( and I traveled the world). "A beautiful restored mansion which transports you into the fairytale world of your long lost great aunt. That is if your great aunt was a wealthy diplomat's wife. The service is warm and personal. The rooms are vintage in a delightfully comfortable way. Breakfast is customized each day to your preferences and a delicious array of choices are available. The only slight downside is the pool garden. While the pool is large and dreamy, it does attract swarms of mosquitoes (the only ones we encountered during two weeks exploring Crete). All in all a wonderful property that you should not hesitate booking."

"Just got back from one of the best weeks holiday my family and I have had. We were greeted on arrival by the wonderful staff with a welcome drink and the warmest of welcomes. A quick and easy check in, including a small history of the hotel being having used to have been the French Consulate. Shown up to our room and guided on the hotel and the rooms controls, we felt relaxed straight away. A short rest stop, and as we went to leave the hotel for a walk, we were told about the buses and transport options and wished a lovely evening. A short walk (100yards) to the bus stop and on the number 11 bus into Chania town. Coming back later that evening, we were greeted in what we discovered to be the normal way by the hotel staff, happy and cheerful and interested in our evening. We had a pleasant drink in the garden, and retired to a very comfortable room and beds. Breakfast the following morning was served until 11, we never arrived until 10:30, this was as we discovered never an issue, and the staff always greeted us happy to help no matter what and when. Breakfast was two fold, a 3 tier plate with breads, cakes, pastries, and two juice drinks and a fabulous nutty chocolate thingy. The, the al la carte course would come, a choice of pancakes, eggs and other. Enough to have a different choice each day, rounded off with fresh water and coffee of choice. Every day was the same excellent quality and service, we quite often spent until 12 there and a coffee top up was always offered "

It’s the kind of stay that sticks with you long after you leave. Highly recommended for anyone wanting authentic Cretan warmth, unbeatable location, and a truly special stay in Chania."
