"The "apart-hotel" is very basic but clean, okay for a one night stay if you are visiting Mont Saint Michel. It's around 8-10 km from any restaurants, groceries etc. Check-in time is limited to 5-7 pm and the pool closed at 7pm. We had to make our own beds like a hostel. Overall, clean and basic accommodations, suitable for one or two nights. "

"Lovely, peacefu rural retreat where we spent 5 days. Ideally situated for visiting the owner's recommended sites, and many more. The proximity of Caen ferry terminal was perfect for us.I'd definitely like to go back."

"There were additional charges for linens and towels (10 euro per person) that weren't in the listing, there was no heat and it was very cold, it smelled very fishy, the beds were very uncomforable and the pillows were dingy. No internet. It was also difficult to get to (the taxi service couldn't even find it as the address from the listing brought you to a differnet house and they had to call the host to find it) The shower was the only good thing about our stay. "Very comfortable chalet, well decorated and with all modern conveniences. Fantastic location for exploring west side of Normandy and beyond. Great for beach and cycling (4 bikes provided). Lots of local towns with good markets on different days (local one is on Sunday). Thoroughly enjoyed our week!"

"Auberge Saint-Pierre is a great hotel. Provides two major features that we did not know until arriving there. There is an area in the restaurant only for people staying in the hotel. If the restaurant is full, because it is really good, let them know you are staying in the hotel so they give you a table in the hotel guests area. The second one is a bridge or secret entrance / exit from the hotel to the ramparts. Only opens with the room key. And it is perfect to go outside for a couple of minutes to see and/or hear the high tide coming in."
