"The hotel was referred to me by a friend and it is a great property. We knew it was in the middle of Zona Central and the surrounding area would be crowded. The hotel is right where you want to be to walk to everything. The rooms were comfortable with street views from our deluxe king and interior views from the queen bed rooms. The cafe for a quick bite or drink is very helpful and the breakfast upstairs was delicious with a great view of the Zocalo. The staff was helpful and attentive, but I didn't get the iron I requested on the 2nd to last day - I survived. I don't think I noticed any noise bleeding into the room from the outside or hallway. I want to thank Rosa for keeping our rooms clean and ready for us to relax at the end of the day. We had a birthday dinner for six at the Balcón del Zócalo and were impressed with the food and service. It is a higher end restaurant so be prepared to pay more than the local restaurants, but it was worth it. The staff was very attentive. The view was awesome. The food was great, beef cap tacos with chorizo, the charbroiled octopus and the Totoaba fish were standout main dishes. The fact that it was in the hotel made having a few drinks, which were made well, easy to rationalize. I highly recommend the Zocalo. It was our families first time to Mexico City and it was outstanding. Your hotel plays a lot into your experience and the Hotel Zocalo helped ours to be very memorable."
