Turned out not to be the case as our room had a double and a single bed and it was not possible to get 3 single beds. "This hotel worked for us in that it was roughly halfway on our journey to the south of France. The staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in. The hotel itself is quite tired and needs some modernisation. Restaurant was not open the evening we were there but the Local town of Avallon had plenty of pleasant restaurants available. "
