"Noisy - Drill/construction noises began at 7am from floor above which we were not warned about. Dated room. Strand of hair in the sink. Otherwise, friendly staff and nice location. Convenient carpark nearby and right outside train station. "

"Tired and dated hotel. Biggest concern was our room had a door linked to the next room which was not safe. The lock on our side did not engage properly and could have been pushed open with very little force from the room next door. In the middle of the night about 2am I was wakened by the person in the adjoining room opening their door and I thought they were trying to get into our room. As a result I did not sleep well. I reported this at reception before we left so I hope the matter is resolved."

"We didn't have breakfast at the hotel the drinks selection was ok could of done with draught beers as they only had bottle of beer maybe more selection "

"My room had an awful smell from the bathroom and the TV channels kept freezing, I discussed with the staff the following day, they ensured housekeeping would see to it. Housekeeping did indeed attend my room only to throw the bedcovers back, empty the bin and leave it with no bag, left all the dirty cups and didn’t replace the tea and milk, and the smell was still there! I eventually told them I want a room change which they did, but this isn’t the first time I’ve stayed here and I’ve always found housekeeping to be useless and never makeup the rooms properly."

"I wouldn’t say the room was the cleanest, I dropped something from my case which went under the bed and oooh that hadn’t been done for a while ! I was given an access room at street level, but it was noisy, both from above and outside. My 2nd night required earplugs to be worn to get to sleep. "

"If you are looking for luxury this isn't the place for you. Its very homely and warm like visiting Gran. Had everything we needed and very spacious. Garden is a plus for the dogs and a lovely walk to the city center. "

"Property done up on the cheap, and maintained on the cheap. Two hobs on the stove did not work. No shelving units on the fridge door to stand up milk. Kitchen bin had no lid. Poor and scrappy supply of kitchen utensils. The tin opener didn't work. The shower supply of hot water was quite temperamental. The whole bathroom could do with a refit. The toilet lid was broken. The bathroom had a strong smell of urine we expect coming from the carpet floor and floorboards. There were no dining chairs in the property to eat at the table. The over all cleanliness of the property was poor. The decor was very poor. The bedrooms were good, but downstairs was yuck!"
