Pet-Friendly Paradise

Bring along your furry companions (1 or 2 dogs allowed with prior approval) to share in the adventure! A fee of $100 is charged per dog and agreement to crate them when no one is home with them, ensuring their safety and your peace of mind. (Sorry, we don't allow cats due to allergies.)

Your Home Away From Home

With a maximum occupancy of four to five persons, this cozy cabin ensures your comfort while maintaining environmental sustainability. Please be mindful that our well and septic system necessitates adherence to this limit (not connected to public services). We have recently upgraded to Fiber Optic Cable based communication services for better internet, TV and phone options.

Great DuPont home base

Awesome, very clean and nicely decorated cabin located so close to DuPont State Park. Loved our time in the cabin after busy days mountain biking in the area!

My husband, two college age sons and I spent 7 days at this beautiful cabin to ring in the New Year. The cabin is well stocked, clean, and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Summer Haven Christmas Getaway

We had a lovely stay. Convenient to Dupont Forest and Caesar's Head. The accomodations were perfect. Very clean and had all the conveniences of home. Check in very easy, communication with the host was great.

Location location

I believe we have stayed here four times now and we will be back again. Can’t beat the location for riding DuPont or Pisgah. Great food at cedar mtn cafe and away from all the humans in Brevard.

Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Summer Haven! The cabin was tucked away in beautiful Cedar Mountain. We loved that it was private, quaint, exceptionally clean, dog friendly, and stocked with everything we needed to cook dinners at home each night. The surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous with several state parks within a few minutes drive. We are already looking forward to coming back!

Amazing Experience!!

We wanted to be close to be DuPont State forest for the Mountain Bike trails, and this property was the perfect location for us. Summer Haven has everything you need, so peaceful and relaxing. An awesome place to get away from your hectic life. We would love to visit again:)

Beautiful, quiet spot!

We loved the house and the surrounding neighborhood with the beautiful garden and Chapel next door. Sitting on the porches and enjoying the cool mountain air was so nice. House is clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It is the perfect location for hiking in Dupont and Pisgah and exploring Cedar Mountain and Brevard. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was perfect! We had everything we needed for us and our dog. Plenty of outdoor activities just around the corner and great food at the cafe down the road. We would definitely stay here again. The host was very quick to respond and reached out with additional information.

Wonderful Getaway Vacation

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful home! It felt like we were in a treehouse looking out every window at the beautiful fall foliage! We spent a lot of time on the 3 sided deck and loved the rocking chairs! Kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and utensils. Owner provided a very informative notebook of the area.

Never have to leave Cedar Mtn

Great location for hiking and mountain biking, Cedar Mountain NC now has pretty much everything you need to never have to go into the big city, “Brevard” 😁 very private location, I’ve travelled the area by car, bike, and foot for 13+ years and never knew this street existed.

Lovely Rental in Cedar Mountain

This home had everything we needed. We needed a rental for my cousins Celebration of Life. We were grateful to find this great 3,2 witih a wrap around open deck. Nice outdoor fire pit. Easy in and o for our don too. Just wish we could gave stayed longer.

Beautiful, QUIET and perfect location! So quiet and peaceful to just sit and relax. Outdoorsy and want activity? 10 minutes away from several locations. Not too far from "city life" and shopping. Lovely hideaway in welcoming Cedar Mountain

This was our third time staying at Summer Haven and we hope to be back many more times! The house itself is extremely well appointed and comfortable. The fire pit and porch are wonderful for sitting out and enjoying the birds and other nature sounds. And the location is unbeatable, with an easy walk down to the Cedar Mountain Canteen (with regular live music), distillery, and cafe. And a short drive gets you to Dupont state forest with everything that has to offer, or to Whistlestop Market for fresh local produce, grocery staples, and other goodies. I highly recommend Summer Haven!!

Relaxing Stay

The property was very clean and well stocked with anything you could need. We enjoyed the wooded setting and did not hear or see any neighbors the entire time we were there. We visited the Cedar Mountain Cafe for a delicious breakfast and a quick dinner. The king sized bed was super comfy. The only negative was all three bedrooms are upstairs with only one bath up but we made it work. All the positives far outweighed that one negative. Would definitely stay again.

Mountain Christmas

This is our second year staying in Summer Haven for Christmas. It is in a perfect location near DuPont and Caesars Head for hiking and mountain biking. It's a quick drive to Brevard and Hendersonville. Melinda was very responsive and helpful when we needed her. The house is very cozy and in a quiet location next to an charming outdoor church. The kitchen is fully equipt and there are lots of cozy towels and blanket and throws to snuggle up with. There was even towels for our dog!! What a lovely time. Thanks again.
