"The Lodge itself was beautiful and comfortable ideal for a family or couple with a dog, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, and so spacious!... the views of Milbrook and Plymouth from Lodge 23 are astounding. A great place to relax. Although pet friendly, I think if you own just one, well behaved dog he or she should be allowed off-lead and monitored closely...but it's a no, I understand why, but my dog is a registered working dog and it was her holiday too. Maybe a dog area should be considered...

"The first thing we noticed was how clean the place was. The apartment was exactly how the pictures showed. The kitchen was very well equipped. There were some games and playing cards, books about the area and a nice map to get your bearings. It’s super close to all the amenities. "The best thing about this hotel is the wonderful staff who work here. Every single one I met was friendly, pleasant and helpful, providing excellent customer service . The rooms were lovely and comfortable with clean bedding , providing a good nights sleep with a ceiling fan and also a desk fan provided during this heatwave . The breakfast was excellent. These things far outweighed the only 2 things which could be improved - better instructions on how to find the hotel, it’s main entrance and car park (there were a number of us who had spent a long time trying to find them or ended up in Sainsbury’s car park by mistake) .The other was a bit of floor level dust which our 2 year found in a couple of her hide and seek places ! Overall though this hotel is one of the most enjoyable I’ve ever stayed in"

"Had a family room, it was absolutely massive compared to other hotel family rooms. The beds were super comfortable, everything you could need was available in the room. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. But my favourite thing had to be the view, it was breathtaking."

"Room close to lift so very noisy For a king room the bathroom was tiny and very hard to move in it. Other than that hotel was nice Didn’t have breakfast but coffee in reception today served by a lovely friendly man was lovely Reception staff lovely too VERY slow lift. Ok for us on floor 1 but some of our friends on 7 had a lot of steps as 20 mins plus for lift not great"
