"If I could give more than five stars, I would. Château Hôtel Edward 1er is, without question, one of the finest places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. The staff made us feel at home from the very first minute. The property is simply stunning. Rich in history, beautifully restored, impeccably maintained, and incredibly elegant, it perfectly blends luxury with authenticity. Everything is spotless, and even the signature scent throughout the hotel adds to the unforgettable experience. The grounds are magnificent. The gardens are beautifully kept, the swimming pool is peaceful and inviting, and every corner of the property reflects the care and attention devoted to maintaining this exceptional château. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the beautiful medieval village of Monpazier, with its charming market and picturesque streets just steps away. Private parking is convenient, making it an ideal base for exploring the region. Every detail exceeded our expectations. This is far more than a hotel—it’s an experience. Without hesitation, it’s one of the very best places you can stay in the Dordogne, and we can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommended."
