100 year old Farm Cottage. Minutes from the beach!

This quaint, rustic cottage is located in the community of Cedar, just south of Nanaimo, on an accessible, yet secluded acreage.

It is walking distance to the beach and boat launch and amazing trails, yet less than 15 minutes from downtown Nanaimo, as well as both ferry terminals and the airport.

The quiet yard is surrounded by beautiful old maple, walnut, and fruit trees and overlooks the horse pasture and pond. It is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful morning cup of coffee or an evening sunset.

An attached games room includes ping-pong, air hockey and foosball tables, as well as a dart board, for all to enjoy and entertain a family. Kids big and small, young or old will love it.

The cottage boasts a cozy master bedroom on the main floor, situated off the main living area, and next to the bathroom. Upstairs is split in the middle with two additional attic-style bedrooms.

A double futon is available in the living room, as well as a single sized roll out cot, both with supplied linens for additional guests. Also provided is a Graco pack and play, playpen for your little one.

This 100+ year old original farmhouse has been freshly renovated, keeping its original rustic charm. We love it and think you will too!

$50 cleaning fee for first couple ($25/guest thereafter)

This cottage is located on our farm property, where where you may encounter our horse and our large friendly dog.

Just like it says it's a 100 year old cottage with a games room and plenty of space for my 3 kids. The kids stayed in the upper floor - note there are steeper than normal steps leading upstairs but my boys didn't mind. Plenty of attention to details throughout the house with all of modern comforts of home. Good central location close to Nanaimo for all of your day trips.

Perfect ocean getaway

We are a large family of 8, with kids between 6-12, and this property was close to the beach, amenities, and hikes. We all very comfortable fit in the extra cute cottage and it had everything we needed and more. The games room is incredible!

100Years Old Farm House

The Location is in a quiet neighbourhood close to a General Store, close to a nice beach. Very clean properties we had all the amenaties required. I would recommand this location.

charming cottage

This historic cottage is charming, spacious and functional. The Cable Bay Trail out to Joan Park along the coast is an absolute must walk. We had four days of rain and still enjoyed ourselves greatly, thanks to the games room.

Family Christmas

My wife and I stayed 6 nights. One night was our family Christmas dinner. There was 12 of us, including 5 grandkids. All ages enjoyed the games room. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner was very helpful and prompt to respond.

The farmhouse was absolutely lovely! It was just what we needed to relax and enjoy some time away. All the little details and decor were carefully thought out. It seemed like it had everything we needed for cooking. The beds and couches were comfortable. It was so relaxing and we loved staying there! If you are going in winter, you may want to remember to bring slippers with you.

Great stay for a family!

We had a great stay at this property, sufficient beds for everyone. The house was very clean and the kitchen was extremely well stocked, especially loved the black stone grill. Things got a bit warm in the upstairs bedrooms where the air conditioning did not reach. Only improvement would be to add screens to the upstairs windows so opening them doesn’t let all the mosquitoes in!

A perfect weekend

Beautiful spot! The weather was perfect so we spent lots of time outside in the sunshine listening to the birds and enjoying the quiet property. The house is so adorable and cozy! We loved eveyrthing. Too many nice little touches to list! Thank you for making our trip easy and so enjoyable! The games toom is such a nice, fun touch. Will reccomend and will come again!

Weekend getaway

My friends and I loved the cottage! Our expectations were absolutely exceeded. When we arrived we all felt as if we were the French country side. The space was so clean and had everything we could possibly need from games and movies to all the kitchen appliances. The property was lush and we loved getting greeting by friendly animals when we arrived. Lacy was very sweet and easy to communicate with. We all agreed we would love to stay there again!

Komplettes Wohlfühlprogramm

Wir haben das Cottage für 2 Wochen gebucht und konnten in der Zeit super die Umgebung erkunden. Es gibt Whale Whatching-Angebote, viele tolle Wanderrouten und sehenswerte Städt und Orte in erreichbarer Entfernung. Im Cottage selbst ist der Games Room das Highlight für die Kids, die sich hier ausgiebig die Zeit vertrieben haben. Der Strand ist nur 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Wir haben viel erlebt und die Zeit hier sehr genossen.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was clean and unique! My daughter lived watching the bunnies and hummingbirds. It is an old house so be prepared for creaky floors and bed, which added to the charm, for me. It was a bit of a drive when we wanted to go sight-seeing but I feel that that was fairly reflected in the price! Beautiful area and wonderful trip.

Girls Weekend Away

We had a wonderful time in your little cottage. It was the perfect size for the three of us. The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the random blankets to cozy up with in the mornings. We walked to the water (might drive to the park next time) but it was doable. The little boat launch beach had the most interesting rocks and sea glass. It was close to everywhere we were going and you could pick up a bottle of wine at the liquor/gas station on your way in. We felt very safe staying here well off the road and into the property with the other homes close by. Thanks for the fun stay.
