Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The building was modern, and accommodation was very nice. Murphy bed very comfy, good kitchen and a very good bathroom with a rain showerhead. Nothing but nice things to say...we really loved it! "

"We left check-in a bit too late which came a faff as we were approaching the property on public transport. You need to check-in to obtain an entry code for the building and your room. Our own fault - we should have read the instructions earlier and checked-in to get the code. All good in the end though - the apartment was immaculate, well sited for access across the city and we'd certainly recommend to others and would revisit."

The boat is located in a small campsite with a small bar/restaurant and pool use for free. Friendly and very helpful staff. There is a water park close by and the lovely small town of Sesto Calende with shops, bars and restaurants is only 15-20 minutes walk away. Great short stay with the family"

"Einrichtung war wunderbar und unfassbar sauber, aufgeräumt und schön eingerichtet. Leider hatten wir das Gefühl inmitten einer Riesen Gruppe untergebracht zu sein die sich abends lautstark unterhalten was direkt im Blickfeld vor unserem Mobilehome war. Ansonsten war alles prima. Aber man sollte wissen dass die Nähe zum See nicht ganz so nah ist, wie es aussieht. Aber insgesamt ein tolles Konzept. Wunderschöne und saubere, moderne Anlage. "Fantastic stay! Stunning property and in an excellent location. Our room was the Mountain View and it was everything we needed. The hotel itself is great to explore and the pool/beach area was perfect for a dip. It is worth noting here that the lake pontoon sunbathing area is only for paying guests and the front sunbathing areas are reserved for the suite rooms. Other than that, there was plenty of space available and a dip in the lake is a must! Would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully be visiting again at some point in the future!"

"It was certainly a beautiful hotel. It needs to be renovated. I was told that this winter they are closing down for a massive renovation project adding a lift and bringing the hotel up to par. The staff were excellent. The pool was divine, as was the general out door area and the bar was elegant but fun. Looking forwards to trying the renovated version. If travelling to see lake Como, it is a fair distance and generally a car is needed."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, but Luana at reception deserves a special mention. She was incredibly kind and helpful. We had unfortunately made a mistake when booking and selected the wrong dates, but Luana was so gracious and understanding and went out of her way to help us resolve the issue. Her kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Hotel Funicolare. Spacious rooms, beautiful views, good food and genuinely wonderful staff."

"The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was a very good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with lots of options and open until 10.30 which is good if you need a lie in. The pool on the roof was cold so we didnt stay long and the bar menu was limited but we enjoyed lounging up on the roof terrace"

"Very nice hotel on the lakeside that i have stayed at before around 10 years ago & it didn't disappoint to return to, very nice helpful staff throughout the hotel, lovely location, nice room, great breakfast, great kids play room with so many toys,gym & pool area good,pinsa in the restaurant was amazing, disappointed to leave & so was my 5 year old great granddaughter who said we should of stayed 10 days. Great location"

Very good breakfast & we made use of the nice swimming pool before leaving, my great granddaughter loved it & said the room was VIP with 2 balconies & 2 bedrooms so that made us laugh. Would stay again & an easy drive from malpensa."
