The cabin was perfect for us. The house had a cozy feel and a fireplace with wood available for us. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The front porch and swing were a place we enjoyed sitting. We even played darts at the gazebo. We weren’t far from restaurants, grocery stores and hiking. We enjoyed the local chili cookoff and the locals were nice. We were attending a wedding but had a very nice getaway as well. Charlene was great to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again and maybe even rent her cabin next door as well for friends or family.

Another amazing stay at the Sportsman’s Cabin

Another trip to Cashiers in the books, staying at the Sportsman’s Cabin again! We keep coming back to this cabin over and over again because it is in a perfect location, it’s extremely clean, and the host is amazing! We smile when we enter the door, we feel so comfortable during our stay, and we leave looking forward to the next time. We highly recommend this cabin.

Weekend away

We love Cashiers! This cabin is lovely with everything you could need. The location is close to everything and even walking distance to town. The wood burning fireplace was the best part! Would stay again!

Holiday get away

Quiet, cozy several days! Lots of places to go hiking within driving distance-Whiteside mtn, Rainbow falls and Fairfeild Lake trail. Cabin was well equipped and clean. Enjoyed the fireplace and that the cabin was dog friendly.

PERFECT CABIN

Perfect location "cabin in the woods" Just barely outside of town but feels like your in the wilderness.The rustic gazebo & front porch are a quiet peaceful piece of heaven in the woods. Beautifully decorated in mountain cabin style inside and out. So well equipped & supplied. You only need your clothes and toothbrush.

Quaint cabin

We very much enjoyed our Thanksgiving at this cute cabin in the woods. The location can’t be beat. It had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a great stay!

Mountain Perfection

We had a lovely stay and recommend this house 100%! The beds / pillows were comfortable and everything you could need and want was available. The host was very responsive and allowed us to check in early -which was very helpful traveling with a newborn. We would stay here again!

Best Home in Cashiers

This house was just like our real home! It is so well stocked and is so comfortable. The owner has thought of everything you would ever need. Plus it is beautiful and close to everything in Cashiers. The front porch is wonderful. Our poodle loved it! We hope to go back one day.

wonderful place to stay

We loved the cabin. Everything we could possibly need is there; the kitchen is well-furnished; the beds are so comfortable. The location is also perfect. You feel like you're away from everything, but you're very close to the crossroads in Cashiers. I will definitely try to go back!

Cozy in Cashiers

We had the most wonderful stay in this cozy cottage. My family of four and our two dogs enjoyed bringing in the New Year! The cabin was very clean, extremely well equipped and we absolutely loved having fires in the beautiful fire place. Very secluded but close to town. The host is very responsive and helpful. 5 stars!!

Great House

This is our 2nd time staying in this house. It is perfect for our family and dog. The house is very clean and close to town. We enjoy sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings. We love it and will be back!

18th Anniversary trip

The cabin was so cozy and adorable! My husband, myself, and our two Aussies had a wonderful time! The location was great! We walked to downtown Cashiers with our pups. We will definitely stay here again! Charlene is a perfect host! The neighbor was incredibly sweet and very helpful as well! We loved it!!!!

Perfect Getaway!

Great dog friendly cabin close to Cashiers!

The cabin was perfect for our quick weekend trip to Cashiers. Check in was easy. Cabin was very clean and stocked with everything we needed for a few days. Location was very convenient just minutes from everything in town (although narrow gravel road is a little tricky). We appreciated the dog gate to keep our pup on the porch! It’s a no frills cabin and pretty small for more than 2 people, but was cozy and just what we needed for a couple of nights. Thank you!

Super neat and clean!

The cabin is very cozy and is well stocked. It is so clean and neat. It is very convenient. You can walk to the crossroads and town center, but it is pretty secluded in the woods. I would take the Monte Vista road entrance to the cabin. Our GPS routed us on a dirt road from the other direction to access the cabin and it was confusing.

Convenient and Dog Friendly

I was in the area for a wedding and made a weekend trip out of it. They had a sheet for the dogs so you could allow dogs on a bed (some other dog friendly properties won't allow dogs on any furniture). Gate was easy to set up and use to keep the dogs contained off-leash on the porch. The place was very clean. The directions the host provides will help you find the house as I found the house even in the dark (I alerted the host and they had the porch light on for us). Great place to stay!

Amazing stay

This was our third time staying at the Sportsman Cottage. This property is extremely clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. It is very close to town. It’s easy to quickly get to nice restaurants, shopping, and the town square. But, at the same time, when you’re at the property, you feel like you’re deep in the woods. The property owner is friendly, helpful, and responds quickly to any questions you may have. We look forward to coming back very soon.

The cabin’s location is amazing - so close to town you could walk if you’d like (no sidewalks most of the way but definitely possible). The cabin is literally in the middle of the forest and is quiet and cozy. We stayed with our two children (2 and 3) and two dogs. The cabin met our needs. The only thing to be aware of if you’re a parents is that there is not a bathtub and the second bedroom is a loft style so once the children are asleep you can’t hang about in the kitchen/living room (if your children are like ours and need quiet). It’s quite dark inside the cabin because of the tree coverage so we never really knew what the weather was like outside until we got out of the forest - so just be aware that it may not be as cloudy as you think! Lastly, the internet is very slow so recommend downloading shows/movies if you plan to watch them at night! Overall this cabin was perfect for our long weekend stay and we were so happy to be there!

Sportsman Cabin

We were met within a very short while by the lovely lady who helps the cabins owner. She was so gracious and gave us instructions on feeding the fish in the Koi pond, setting up the doggy gate on the porch, and bringing a loaf of homemade bread. At that point we felt right at home. Our aging dog is hard t o board and this cabin's pet friendliness was the solution to our being able to take a vacation. The cabin was perfect for relaxing with friends, in fact I wanted to bring it home. The location was close enough to town for convenience yet provided privacy as well. We highly recommend a stay here.

Very cozy cabin

We lost a night, because vrbo never sent the code to me..The next morning we reached out to the Host and she gave us the directions.This cabin is every thing the owners described it to be ! It is very close to INGLES food store for any thing you may need . We had a 3 day wedding to attend & all was perfect. Our cabin had wood chopped for us to use in the fire place, that was great & we use it 2 nights when we returned back to the cabin.
