"Patrick's house was the perfect meeting place for our international friends reunion. We loved the location of the house and how close it is to town. The minute you enter the home you are immersed into the Portuguese culture. The house was well stocked with anything you would need. The beds comfortable, many fabulous gathering places throughout the property. We loved the fruit trees and the swimming pool. This is now our go to house and hope to be back next year!"

"Staff were very nice. Rooms were simple but effective. Heating was working (some reviews dud not understand that there was a switch on the side as well as he temp control.) hot water also good. Fridge, basic cooking equipment plates etc. Bring a corkscrew and a small coffee percolator if you need them. Towels and bed sheets with a duvet all clean etc. "

"The property was above all our expectations. Very clean, very comfortable, in short a home away from home. The kichen was very well stocked with all the kitchen utensils any chef would need. "The house is a beautifully redone schist structure in the center of Talasnal. All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. Great hikes just walking out the front door…although we did get lost the first day. Haha. Both Joao and Alda were super responsive and so helpful. Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...

"This is a really lovely property: large, modern, beautiful, comfortable. It is in a small village, and is 1-2 hours away from many wonderful Portugal experiences, including, the sea shore, Douro Valley, Porto, Schist Villages, Tomar (must see the Templar castle there), Fatima, and more. As Americans, we were happy to drive and have a great home base to return to each day. Steve is a wonderful host. Definitely choose this property if you can."

"Hotel Oslo had very freindly and helpful staff. The checkin process and the parking of the car was efficient. The location was a little bit out of the town center, but was near the river and the train station. The room itself was quite small, just enugh room for the bed, but was well kept. The bathroom shower was so small that when I dropped the soap, I couldn't pick it up, I could only stand up straight in the shower. If you need to shave your legs, there is no way possible."
