"We’ve just left the hotel and were very impressed. The staff are amazing and give you a tour of the hotel when you check in. As it’s November, the pools (indoor and outdoor) close around 6pm but the outdoor pool isn’t heated so no one was using it anyway. Indoor pool isn’t heated either but they have a nice hot tub in the same area. The sauna was out of order when were there. The breakfast was fabulous with lots of choice and stocked up very frequently. Selection of boiled, scrambled and fried eggs, bacon, sausages, cold meats & cheeses, hot out of the over bread rolls, pastries, juices and 3 coffee machines - again wonderful staff at breakfast Great place and would definitely go back. Was very quiet, due to the time of year and only breakfast served - couldn’t get an evening meal there Approx 5 min walk, down a fairly steep hill, to a selection of bars and restaurants but not like a traditional strip you’d see in the bigger towns Rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade but were also very clean, if dated Great stay - thanks x"

"We loved our stay at Placid Village. The host was very helpful and friendly. They delivered a huge breakfast of a fruit tray, pancakes, a variety of breads, milk, juice, coffee. There were several nice restaurants nearby 5 minutes driving. There are several beaches and the seven hanging valley trailhead within 5minutes driving. The area is very quiet and dark at night. The only problem I had was that gps sent me to a somewhat isolated residential area using the address listed. I reentered gps using the name “placid village” and I found it easily. "

"The villa was spacious, well-equipped with all amenities, and conveniently located just a short walk from the beach. The reception staff were very helpful and provided useful information for first-time visitors to the area. The property features a lovely pool, sauna, and restaurant, with beautiful ocean views from the patio and terrace. It is also situated right along the famous Seven Hanging Valleys Trail. The only issue during our stay was an unexpected water shut-off on both days. We would have appreciated prior notice so we could prepare accordingly. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing."

"Really enjoyed our stay. The staff were all great. Very polite and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a bonus. Lots of choice. Only downside was it was noisy until 11.30 pm but we expected that given its very central location "

"Staff lovely , so helpful ! Room great very walkable to pool , lounge. Only thing is that nothing really walkable outside of resort, needed to drive to get to town etc.But would still stay here again!"

"We were all-- 6 of us in our 70ies-- completely impressed with the property which was fully equiped from every angle. The hosts even provided fresh fruit and milk and bread which we consumed after our evening arrival."
