Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Front side of the hotel is well maintained but yhe rear needs some work. Food had variety over my stay but a longer stay couldbe repetitive. No issues for chairs at the beach or pool. Could use a few more activities from the staff during the day and not have big gaps between them.

My stay was amazing. Diana was a gracious host any problems we had she immediately solved them and if we had any questions or concerns, she took care of them immediately. She also recommended places to go and also arrange for our safe transportation. The other staff was also very gracious and helpful if we needed anything, they went above and beyond to help us. The only downside was the food. Not much seasonings. But overall, I would definitely recommend and come back to stay.

Very Disappointing Experience at Grand Sirenis Cartagena Unfortunately, our stay at Grand Sirenis Cartagena was not the experience we expected, especially for a resort in this category. Our room had a strong humid/musty smell. We asked three different times to change rooms, but our request was never addressed. Basic requests also took an unreasonable amount of time. For example, when we requested additional towels, it took approximately four hours for them to finally arrive. The food was another major disappointment. Most of the options were very fried and greasy, and the cocktails were poorly made, using what seemed like very inexpensive alcohol and lacking good flavor. At the pool, there were also not enough towels available, which was frustrating for an all-inclusive resort. The dinner restaurants were also disappointing. One requires reservations before 10 a.m., but there are very limited spots available—only about 10 people. When we finally got a reservation, our food took around two hours to arrive, and the meats were served at the wrong temperatures. The other restaurant was only open a few days a week, so unfortunately, we never even had the opportunity to try it. Overall, the service was slow, the food quality was below our expectations, and several basic aspects of the stay were poorly managed. If you are accustomed to good-quality food, drinks, and attentive service, I would honestly recommend considering other options in Cartagena.

Yes the breakfast was fresh, the staff was great maybe a few of them were difficult. They need to notify people of the rules when booking and make sure everything is working properly. This hotel wasn't fair like big name hotels are. I just hope they get better over time.

Staff is great! Food is good. Activities by the main pool amazing! Up keep of resort however has gone downhill since our last visit 5 years ago. Beach is dirty and not private. You cannot see the water from the hotel due to all the structures built on the beach and parked cars which was not there when we first visited under Melia brand. Rooms could be kept better. Black mold in shower and on drying ladder. Started smelling musty. Very dusty behind headboard like it has never been cleaned. Visited the spa, and that was run down as well. We came back because we had an amazing experience and were somewhat disappointed when we retured.

Do yourself a favor, and please look elsewhere. In many ways, they are still developing and in transition from their previous owner. If I may be honest, I have never been more disgusted/uncomfortable with the treatment towards clients/hospitality. One of their administrators asked me about my time with them and I respectfully told them how I was a bit disappointed/frustrated, especially since the little things matter to me when at all in-inclusive resorts. I also shared how many of the employees don’t even have the decency to put clients first because I did not feel as welcomed, especially since they lack such enthusiasm for what they do. In many ways, I just felt like a burden and inconvenience, which is unfortunate. I must admit though that the food was impressive. The room we had was nice. The bed was a bit too hard. When calling housekeeping, they would take a long while to attend our requests. In summary, I came here wanting to relax and detach myself from my routines only to leave more stressed. Also, the pictures they promote on Expedia are not what they actually have. Again, do yourself a favor and invest elsewhere where they prioritize the customers and make them feel at home.

This property had everything I was looking for. But I am a simple man. I want a comfortable room, great food, friendly staff, a well stocked bar, and access to water (pool and/or beach) The room was very nice. Not too big, but accommodating for me. I slept like a baby in the bed. There is a nice sitting area with a table to relax in, and a decent sized balcony that overlooked the pool. I sat out there everyday! There are two restaurants: The Merkado which is their buffet restaurant and The Fish House is a bit fancier and only for dinner with reservation. I loved the variety of foods they offered in the buffet. Obviously a lot of Latin dishes, but stuff you don’t see normally. Lots of fresh fruit and breads. And a chef preparing specialty meats and eggs to order. The staff were very friendly. Always with a smile and a “hola”. My issue was I don’t speak Spanish and it made it difficult to talk with them. But honestly, if you have a basic understanding, you can get by like I did. There were a few of the upper staff who knew I spoke English, made a point to check on me throughout the week which made it more special for me. There was some construction going on around the area and yes you can hear pounding and other noises. But it didn’t take away from my experience. The construction may be finished in a few months of this review anyway. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacation. I had a great time!!

One of the few all inclusive hotels in Cartagena. The beach is not in the property but close by. There are only 2 pools 1 pretty small and the main pool which is much bigger and one of the ladders is missing (the main one, right in front of the pool bar) only the steps are there under water and are cracked There is not much to do in the hotel but our room was spacious had a comfortable bed, a balcony but unfortunately didn’t have a nice view. It was a good place to relax and rest when there wasn’t noise from the construction adjacent to the hotel. I have to pin point that In this hotel we found the most customer oriented and courteous people in the whole city of Cartagena and that left a very good impression of the staff on us they were all very pleasant specially a young lady named Valeria that works in two different bars at the hotel. It was pleasure for me and my husband to meet her and in our opinion a great employee for Grand Sirenis hotel.
