The hotel is at an excellent area facing the beach from one side and the skyline view from the other. Staff are exceptionally friendly. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds. You can walk and find restaurants, shopping center and pharmacies. Overall, i recommended for families as well as individuals.

Hotel Cartagena Plaza was one of the fewest all inclusive hotels in the city of Cartagena. And I gotta say it didn’t disappoint. Food, hospitality and overall service was exceptional.

The staff at the Hotel Cartagena Plaza exceeded all expectations! They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They even went above and beyond to organize a surprise birthday dinner for my son, which made our stay truly unforgettable. Absolutely 5 stars!

I want to share my experience to help other travelers make informed decisions. On Expedia’s website, the hotel advertises beach umbrellas, in-room minibars, and an “all-inclusive” plan with access to two restaurants plus the buffet. However, this is misleading: Beach umbrellas and chairs are not included – you have to pay extra. The “minibar” is just an empty fridge – it doesn’t contain anything. The all-inclusive plan only covers the buffet. The other two restaurants require additional payment. So in reality, this hotel is not truly all-inclusive. I find this very misleading and disappointing. On a positive note, I want to highlight that the staff was excellent – very kind and attentive throughout our stay. I hope this helps other travelers and that Expedia reviews this listing to ensure it reflects the actual services offered.

Overall its a nice place. Pros: clean, secure, across from the beach, close to shops and 10 minutes from the major sites. Cons: not a lot of food options. Paid for all inclusive it only included buffet option. As a plant based pescatarian most choices had diary and meat so I had to pay to eat at other places. There was construction happening all day and loud music mid day to late night so it was hard to rest and work remotely.

Not a so good stay....value for money is not there....the Rooms need un UPGRADE URGENTLY they are TOTALLY OUTDATED, bathrooms with mold. Food is just okay and the drinks, when you have the all inclusive package, are Not premium. The personnel service was very good and kind enough to let us change/try three (3) rooms, but once again, the premises are not comfortable and the pictures on the website are deceiving. Bottom line is that the Hotel is NOT well maintained and outdated...

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with my close friend. Cesar and Alfredo made the stay very pleasant and welcoming and I appreciate them. The room cleaning was excellent however I feel like they went through my belongings but I do not know for sure. The food was pretty nasty but the drinks and fruits offered were delicious. For the price you pay I guess that is expected. The rooms were nice and not a catfish and it was very easy and affordable to call cabs directly to and from the hotel.

The good: - service staff - VIP rooms cleaned well with free minibar refills, and beach towels refills, modern power control, fan, Netflix etc. - beautiful room despite some visible aesthetic damage here and there - close proximity to beach & stores/restaurants - free breakfast butlers lounge area Negatives: - by some standards general areas surrounding hotel could be considered run down but this would apply to the entire town - rooftop pool is small in size and pretty full. Rooftop views not good as screen blocks your view - free breakfast was mediocre not enough meat-free options Overall 5/5

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. When we arrived at Cartagena Plaza Hotel, we were shocked to find out that one of our rooms had been canceled without any prior notice, despite having a confirmed reservation. The so-called solution they offered was completely unreasonable: to accommodate two additional people, they wanted to charge USD 1,100, while the original room cost USD 685. An outrageous and unjustified price. The customer service was poor, unhelpful, and unprofessional. The hotel is extremely overcrowded, making it impossible to enjoy any of the facilities. This hotel does not deserve a 4-star rating at all — not even half a star. The experience was so bad that we checked out the very next day, and to make matters worse, they refused to refund the week that had already been paid. A terrible experience from start to finish. I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.
