Christmas to New Year's Two Families of Four
The property looked just like the photos and the amenities described were accurate. The pool is described as indoors however it is in an open courtyard so it is in the open air. There is one bedroom on the ground floor & the rest of the bedrooms are accessed by outside spiral staircases, Alan, Raymundo, and Liliana were all so accommodating, helpful, & kind. Alan in particular answered so many of my questions before we arrived. Here are some things I wish I had known beforehand: The only air-conditioned rooms are the bedrooms. Everything else is open air around a courtyard. There are fans, however, when we were there it was very hot and so there was no place for all 8 of us to be together comfortably. We wanted to get out of the heat midday, but we couldn't do it without everyone going to their rooms. When it cooled off there were mosquitos. This is not a problem with the property AT ALL! The property was great, however, I wish I had known the setup because we traveled together to hang out together & couldn't. We all agreed the beds were hard. If that is comfortable is a matter of choice. The water in the showers took a long time to heat up & most of us just took cold showers, which in that heat didn't bother us. Having said all of that, our breakfast was prepared for us, our laundry was done, the rooms were cleaned daily, fresh towels, etc. & anything we needed or wanted was made available to us. We watched the sunset together on the roof & we did have a great stay.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, the property has hot water in all the bathrooms but if everybody showers at the same time it may take a little longer to get the hot water, social area, pool and kitchen are open spaces therefore no air conditioner there, Cartagena is on the Caribbean with tropical weather, mosquitos are always around evendough the property is fumigated regularly, but never when guests are in the house, we thank you once more for your preference and for sharing.

Perfect Cartagena Vacation!
What a beautifully appointed, well situated spot for a Cartagena vacation! We can honestly say that our group of 8 (family and friends) were completely satisfied: the property and staff truly exceeded our expectations. Beyond the close proximity to all areas of the walled city, Alan and Reymundo were great hosts, attentive and courteous in every respect. Cannot recommend enough.

Great visit to Cartegena
We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful house and were so well taken care of by the Alan, Raymundo and Iliana. They made everything so easy for us. Alan took us shopping to lay in the basics when we first arrived and then made us breakfast and coffee every morning; not easy with 6 adults over 50 with our own particular tastes and preferences (two vegans in the group). Alan aslo supported us in providing guidance on how to get around the town and even walked us to the harbor early one morning to take a boat to the islands. He helped arrange for the group to get in house massages, and made us dinner reservations at wonderful restaurants. Raymundo was there every night to greet us and make sure we got settled back in at the end of the long day. We felt safe and secure and in very good hands the whole time. Iliana kept our rooms and the space very clean every day, doing so in such a stealthy and unobtrusive way that it was all done before you even knew it! The location was fantastic; easily walkable to all points of interest and on a quieter street with just enough activity to be interesting, but not noisy. We had a terrific time and would would definitely come back to stay again.

Loved our stay here!
My son was getting married in Cartagena and we wanted a place for the family. This was the perfect place. There were 5 bedrooms each with their own bath. The courtyard has a small pool that kept my 6 yr old granddaughter happy, and plenty of room for the adults to visit. But the highlight of this vrbo was Alan, who was always ready for our every need. He helped us negotiate with the taxi drivers since we didn’t speak Spanish, order our food, pick up our food, and even walked us to an emerald jewelry store!! He made the place! As did Reymond, and the housekeeper!! Always smiling ready to help out! And the location was excellent and within walking distance to everything !

Amazing Stay in Cartagena Colombia
We booked this property for a group trip (7 adults, ages 25-30) celebrating a birthday. Not only is the property in a prime location of the old city close to the supermarket, street food vendors, shops and the mall. It’s a beautiful home with tons of space, a nice pool, rooftop with great view that felt super secure and comfortable. The highlight of our stay was definitely the amazing property manager Alan and Raymundo his assistant. They were friendly, cool and helped us book activities (boat ride and photographer), dinner reservations, gave directions and walked us there when it was close. They helped the cleaning staff with property upkeep and upon request got us breakfast, lunch and dinner from local places. Their presence was a huge difference in making the trip a success and made us feel like we were truly at home. We will definitely look to stay here again next time we’re in town. Thanks again! 10/10 would recommend.

A trip to remember
/We had planned this trip to Cartagena for two years despite the pandemic. I selected this property because it met my criteria of being within the old historic city, modern conveniences, and a feel of Colombia. What closed the deal were the rave reviews about the “concierge” Alan Moore aka James Bond! Simply put he helped take a great trip to magical.I am not going to repeat other’s comments. In our case Alan became part of our family and he shared many restaurant meals with us. Alan has travelled the world and is able to converse on myriad subjects. A true Renaissance man. It helps if you can speak and understand a bit of Spanish.

Everything about this property rental was perfect!! 15 minutes from the airport, within the walls of the old city, 10 minute walk to Getsanami, restaurants, shops and two grocery stores within 5 minutes walk. The home was perfect. The entire home was clean and well kept. But, the real joy of this property was Alan, Raymundo and Liliana. The home is staff by them. Liliana arrived everyday to keep the home tidy, made beds, refreshed towels/linens as needed. Alan and Raymundi were basically our Cartagena concierges. We bought breakfast fixing and they made us breakfast with fresh colombian coffee every morning. They hailed our taxis, booked our private boat, booked our private Aviary tour, made dinner reservations, walked us to the market and helped us shop, took us through a tour of Getsanami poured our wine or cold beer while we lounged in the cooling pool, or living room..and helped with any questions. 5 stars...if you have any thoughts of visiting Cartagena, this home is your answer. We loved every minute of our stay!!! Thank you all ...mucho gracias :)

Wonderful vacation!

Amazing Experience
Beautiful property with spacious rooms within walking distance to everyone. Alan the host is on sight and made our trip an amazing experience. We had breakfast and coffee every morning and our rooms cleaned. Alan was our tour guide and arranged our transportation, boat reservations and night time activities. He ordered us food and got us groceries and anything at all we needed he was able to accommodate. Alan is your personal concierge and the best part of the trip!! If you are considering the property please book because it is the perfect package!

The perfect property with amazing hosts!
The location of this property is outstanding. The house is within walking distance to everything in the walled city and have a supermarket with ATM extremely close to the home. It also sits on a road that receives a lot of the horse & buggy traffic....you can sit outside the front door and watch them drive bye. Stay in the walled city...it is worth it and is so unique and beautiful. Don't stay anywhere else if this house is the size and price you are looking for...just book it with confidence. The best part about this property is the host Alan. He goes out of his way for you and will make sure you are having a fantastic trip. Alan knows the city extremely well and he will give you nothing but the best advice and service. He walked with us and showed us around the city and helped get into the clubs and restaurants. The property itself is great with a lot of space....you won't even know Alan is there except when you wake up and he is ready to cook your breakfast. He also has help from Edmundo who also stays in the house and provides some extra help. Do not be concerned about them being in the house...you will still have full privacy and they allow you to have a lot of fun in the evenings as well for groups travelling and looking for more nightlife. I really can't say enough about Alan...he will help arrange just about anything you are looking to do. I also suggest you go thru Alan if you are looking to charter a boat. We did not and wished we had because the charter sold us one boat and delivered a different one. You want Alan to help with these type of arrangements because he is local and will be sure you get exactly what you want. He is also a very interesting guy...has travelled to 80 countries and is a very engaging and fun person to have around. Thank you Alan for your help making this one of our best guys trips ever!

Incredible trip. The house is exactly as it is described and shown in the photos. Alan and the staff were an amazing addition to our trip. They took care of all our needs during the time there. Truly the best trip we’ve been on!
This property is an absolute gem! Everything about the property, it’s management and the personal are Fantastic! Allen and his staff made our stay incredible! He guided us to the top bars and restaurants. He even secured us tables and the front of lines when the restaurants and clubs had huge queue. Our group of 5 couples have travelled together for many many years and all over central and parts of South America. I can honestly say that Cartigena, this property and Allen are the best experience we as a group have ever had. This is a must do! As a matter of fact we never do the same trip twice but we may try to make this a yearly experience. Great value for your money and incredibly simple and safe area to explore and spend time.

A Step Back in Time in the Old City, plus excellent location
We spent 11 great days in Cartagena at Paseo Real. Everything was perfect, from the ease of communication, comfortable beds, and amazing staff. Most people reference the staff in their reviews but I have to say it too. Alan, Raymundo, and Lilliana made it so we didn’t lift a finger. They prepared breakfast for us every morning, rounded up stuff our kids left around, made dinner reservations for us, did our laundry when we asked, and more. We traveled with our 3 young kids and while the house is a little tricky with toddlers (stairs and a pool), they really helped make sure the kids were always safe. In fact, Alan and Raymundo has a special bond with our toddler and even got him up in the morning when he cried and gave him milk. Above and beyond! The house is in a perfect location because it’s right by an easy access point to the wall so we spent many nights going for a walk at sundown, and it’s a block from a big grocery store. It’s also a 5 minute walk into Getsemani, and close to everything else in the walled city. The house is a beautiful old colonial home - one bedroom on first floor, a divided 2nd floor with master on one side and 2 bedrooms on the other, a third floor has another bedroom and finally the 4th floor has a beautiful roof deck for cocktail hour. I would definitely recommend staying here! I was sad to leave because we got to know the staff and felt pretty bonded after 11 days. They took such good care of us and made our trip so memorable!

Spectacular Villa in Walled City
This was the best VRBO experience we have had. The villa is perfectly located within the walled city. Easy walking to everywhere. Beautifully appointed. But the best part is the staff. We cannot say enough about Allen and Raymondo who took care of us in every way. They prepared breakfast, snacks, and drinks whenever we asked. Allen guided us to every restaurant, the best cigar shop, the best Salsa bar and basically looked after us like a mother hen. He and Raymondo made sure we were always well cared for from in house massages to restaurant recommendations and beyond. The villa was spotless, they did our laundry and made up our rooms every day. They alone were worth the price of the villa. We loved everything about Cartagena thanks largely to Allen and Raymondo.

Immersive Cartagena experience in beautiful house with beyond 5--star service
A true old walled-city Cartagena experience with the BEST on-site people to help with anything you need. Our family of 8, with ages ranging from 14 to 77, loved our stay in this beautiful house in an ideal location for exploring and experiencing the magic of the walled city. Alan's warmth, helpfulness, and assistance were beyond 5-star. From recommending and reserving the best dinner places, to arranging a spectacular boat ride with an excellent captain to the can't-miss Playa Blanca, to getting us fair taxi rides anywhere we need to go, and even acting as translator and helper when my daughter had to go to the hospital, Alan is just the best! Raimundo was also wonderful, cooking us breakfast every morning, helping with luggage and helping out in general and Liliana's daily maid service was excellent. Each bedroom was truly air conditioned which is a must in hot and humid Cartagena and the plunge pool, which we used at least once a day, was essential! My only suggestion is that the beds have soft toppers as the mattresses were a bit hard. Thank you for a wonderful stay and a great way to experience old Cartagena- highly recommend!

The property was lovely but the key to our experience was the attentiveness of the staff
I was in a group of three couples that stayed at this clean, pretty and well appointed house in a quiet part of the walled city. The house has a refreshing plunge pool and attractive furnishings but the reason it was so special was the knowledge and attentiveness of Alan and Raymundo. It was our first visit to Cartagena and Alan’s knowledge of and love for the city made our visit very special. Alan helped us get settled in and he went with us to buy groceries. Then Alan recommended sites and restaurants and made reservations for us. Between the convenient location and quality of the house and friendliness and knowledge of the staff we had a spectacular visit to Cartagena. I can enthusiastically recommend this house to anyone visiting the lovely city of Cartagena.

Best Place to Stay in Cartagena
We came as a group of ten friends celebrating our buddy's upcoming wedding. The house and neighborhood were incredible. The pool/courtyard and rooftop areas were perfect for hanging out day and night, obviously with respect being paid to the neighbors after dark. The bedrooms were large, clean, had their own bathrooms, and the daily housekeeping was immaculate. None of us had ever been to Cartagena before but the house manager and attendant Alan and Raymundo were always available to give us guidance on where to go (or not go), what to expect in terms of cost and just generally help us have the best time possible. Alan even came with us to the grocery store a few times to help us stock up on food and drinks for the house which was amazing. Between the incredible location and quality of the house and the unparalleled service provided by Alan and Raymundo, you couldn't find a better place to stay for a visit to Cartagena. Thanks Alan and Raymundo, I will certainly be back

Great house in the walled city
We are a three generation family of 10 who spent the holiday week in this lovely, well appointed home. Alan and Raymondo took care of everything for us, including doing the grocery shopping and getting us restaurant reservations, tours to the beach and snorkeling. They were up when we came down for breakfast and welcomed us home when we returned from dinner at night. I recommend this property highly with its terrific combination of city and beach life and the most attentive staff.

Absolutely Perfect
Gorgeous Colonial house in the heart of old Cartagena. Beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped from the peaceful courtyard and plunge pool to the rooftop terrace. The house staff, Alan, Raimundo, and Liliana were unobtrusive but always there to take care of us, making drinks, doing laundry, arranging outings--even guiding us to our destinations. We celebrated Thanksgiving and a birthday here, and could not have been happier.

AMAZING!
What a fantastic home. Our house manage Alan was super and was very prompt in his replies and helped to answer all questions, reservations, money exchange, grocery & more. EXCEPT 1 OR 2 NARROW STEPS BY THE 3RD FLOOR BEDROOM, the home is VERY comfortable and equipped with all necessary. Every detail was perfect from the comfortable beds and linens to a well-equipped kitchen. It is immaculate, open air except the bedrooms which are tightly sealed with plenty of AC! The location is absolutely perfect, just couple blocks from grocery & restaurants, etc. - we were able to walk almost everywhere. I would recommend this place to everyone. We were very comfortable and had a fantastic time. We can't wait to go back! The roof has an amazing view and is a great place to all come together. The staff was very thoughtful and helped us a great deal. Tip them well!!

Incredible stay in Cartagena
From the time of booking, the host Carmenza was easy to communicate with and set us up for an excellent vacation. Our time in Cartagena was amazing thanks largely in part to the wonderful service Alan and Ry provided us. The house itself is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and the location is perfect. You are close to everything, but the street itself is quiet. If I ever return to this city, I will be staying here again. If you have the chance, this is the perfect place to stay in Cartagena.

Everything as advertised. House is maintained in prestige conditions and located within the old city walls. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION... everything within a short walking distance to great restaurants, bars, live music and much more! The real jewel about this property, has to be your house managers Alan & Rey!!! These two gentlemen will make your stay in Cartagena 100% better. They will go beyond the call of duty to ensure you are taken care of. They will take you to the best spots, arrange any transportation means, site seeing, get you food and even pour you drinks. If I can give 10 stars just for them alone, I would. Highly recommend this to anyone trying to book this beautiful home during their time in Cartagena. Will be back!

Extraordinary Service
My family (nine of us) stayed with Alan and Ray for a few days in August. The charming house is constructed around a central courtyard in the Spanish style. All the bedroom windows face inward overlooking the courtyard thereby blocking out any sounds of the street. During our stay either Alan or Ray (and usually both of them) were always available to help with any request such as cooking meals, mixing a drink, shopping, locating a restaurant or finding a specific location. Alan doesn’t just tell you how to get there, he actually takes you there. After we left, we discovered one of our party had left their passport at the house. Amazing!!! Best experience
Amazing house and amazing service. Great location. The guys in the house helped us with anything we needed, from getting us food, beers and getting a cab for us. I definitely recommend this house for anyone going to visit Cartagena .

Absolutely outstanding!!!
The property is awesome, excellent location. The property manager Alan and Raymond brought a whole another meaning to the word "customer service". From the moment we came out of the airport until the moment we got back to the airport they were there for every need we had. They showed us the city, came shopping with us, entertained us, and were always there for us. This experience couldn't be any better. I am still fascinated of how Alan and Raymond treat their guests. This is a must go property in the heart of Cartagena just steps from the water, restaurants, and shopping. Alan and Raymond thank you for everything. You made our trip a lifetime experience that we would never forget.

A magical week.
We were five friends from college celebrating our 75th birthdays and felt so fortunate to have landed at this perfect place. From each of us having our very own, beautifully air conditioned en suite bedroom, to the cozy living and dining areas, to the convenient location, to our yummy breakfasts and mostly to the wonderfully pleasant and helpful staff of Alan, Raimundo and Liliana it could not have been better. Even though all of us are experienced world travelers, it was so relaxing to be able to chill and count on Alan to clue us in on various attractions, to make dinner reservations, to arrange our day trips to Rosario and the bird sanctuary, to make sure we got here and there safely and just to be a very pleasant, but unobtrusive host. Raimundo welcomed us home with a smile and a glass of cold water, made sure our wine glasses weren't empty during happy hour and made sure we didn't trip stepping out the door; and Liliana tidied our rooms each day and washed a few things for us. Cartagena is a charming place to visit and has the best and least expensive restaurants any of us had encountered. We all would recommend Cartagena and will forever laud our wonderful accommodations there.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property in Cartagena. The home itself was impeccable and charming and central to everything. But most of all Alan the host went beyond the call of duty in very respect even as much as finding a pharmacy for my daughter to find insulin who has type 1 Diabetes. He recommended and made reservations at restaurants that were both great local cuisine and affordable. Ray, another gentleman there acted as security. My family felt safe and well cared for and I would recommend this property to anybody and everybody.

The property was great. The hosts were awesome and tended to our every need
The place was big and spacious and comfortable for a large group. Every room had it's own bathroom which was a big plus. The decor had the old school colonial charm that embodies Cartagena. The location made it easy to walk around the Old Town pretty quickly. Alan and Raymond made sure we were taken care of from all aspects. They made us breakfast every morning, showed us around town, and even helped us rent a great boat for a day. The place was clean when we arrived and then cleaned everyday. If you get the bedroom on the third floor just be ready to take on some steps.
