The outdoor pool was a highlight of our stay! The staff were great! AC worked very well, and the suite was cleaned every day. The hotel is in a great part of the town…totally secure. The staff has a very nice birthday gift for my sister who turned 70–flowers and a delicious cake. Just a small mishap—the taxi driver that the hotel ordered didn’t show up in time at the airport. But we took an Uber, which was very convenient and cheaper. But the next time the hotel ordered a taxi to take us to the Aviary, it was fine…and the driver was very good. So we asked him to take us back to the airport as well. A solid 5 stars! We’d go back in a heartbeat.

This is a small, unique and gorgeous property. The courtyard pool on the ground floor and rooftop pool looking over at the dome of San Pedro Claver are both relaxing and beyond aesthetically adorable. Only 8 rooms makes it feel cozy, safe and private. Location is superb with easy walking distance to anything in the walled city, the port (where you will leave for your day excursions to beach clubs, etc), and the El Parque Centenario/Getsemani neighborhood (not to be missed). Staff was very helpful and friendly, assisting with our very late arrival and ridiculously early departure. Rooms were made spotless, daily. I really appreciated having two bedrooms and two bathrooms for the family to spread out & what seemed like an unusual amount of space for a hotel room in this historic quarter. Daily breakfast was made to order and way above & beyond any typical included breakfast. I loved having daily tropical fruit and fresh squeezed juice. Casa Claver was an absolute find for our 9 nights in Cartegena!

I had a one bedroom loft and it was lovely. Clean and so spacious. There was a sitting room before entering the kitchen and living room. There is also a washing machine. This is a really nice hotel. Location is great, the terrace with a small pool has a beautiful view of the San Pedro Claver church, the staff is very welcoming. There are different options for breakfast and they bring it to your room always on time. They even upgraded our room the second night for the rest of our stay. Highly recommended!
