Perfect Vacation Get-Away

We had a great stay in this wonderful rental. Very comfortable and updated, this property has everything you could ever need for a beach vacation. The outdoor fire pit was an evening favorite. And the property manager went above and beyond to take care of us without even asking!

Absolutely loved our stay here - the property fantastically situated a stones throw from the beach and walkable to every restaurant in town. Girls Weekend Vacation

This was such an amazing place! From the minute we arrived we enjoyed the outside patio with gas grill and fire pit. The place was warm and welcoming. We had everything we needed and more. The location was fantastic! A 1 minute walk to the beach in a friendly community. The beds were so comfy and the kitchen had everything you needed. The appliances were all high end!! We would definitely come back!!!

Excellent amenities in a great location.

Very easy walk to the beach and the restaurants. All of the finishes and furnishings were beautiful. Great marble baths, beautiful floors, and a very comfortable leather couch. The space is small but perfectly put together. It exceeded expectations.

Perfect location!

A great weekend getaway location! We can’t wait to go back. Our toddler felt right at home with the cozy setting. The park , restaurant, brewery and beach being incredibly close was a plus. My husband and I loved the cozy firepit at the front patio for an evening drink and early morning coffee!

Beautiful condo in Carpinteria

The condo was in perfect condition, just like photos. The location could not be better--five minute walk to the beach, to Am Trac station and multiple restautants/shops of quaint town of Carpinteria. All of the amenities worked fine with perfect and concise instructions. Fire pit in front patio was especially nice. Near all the action of Carpinteria but still quiet and easy to sleep through the night. Would definitely return.

Beat place I’ve ever stayed

It was a bit of a splurge, but after the last few years of no vacations we gifted ourselves this. And boy was it worth it! We hope to stay for longer next time. It was an ideal location in a perfect town and the most beautiful beach. The linens were so soft and the amenities were ideal. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing location and property

We aren't new to Carp but it was our first time staying in this property and it was fantastic. Everything was brand new and clean and the check in process was extremely easy. The property is located about a block from the beach and perfectly situated to walk to all of the great little spots in town. The property manager was very responsive and we look forward to staying here again.

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy Carpinteria, and some things to consider

Overall, the week my friend and I spent in the Playa lodgings was wonderful. So much so, it was hard to head home. Linda came in an instant when we had a question and was unfailingly pleasant. The unit is nicely fitted out and was very clean. Our end unit had a small back porch along with the front patio, and we used both. The location within a block of the beach couldn't be better; my friend got up early and ran the beach each morning, and I headed down every late afternoon to swim and read and people watch until sunset. We did have some minor issues, however, and I want to alert folks to a few things: 1) The unit seems designed for tall people. I'm short (5'2") and have a replaced knee that is stiff. The baths are elegant, but the tub in the master bath is way too deep for anyone short with knee or hip problems to easily climb in and out. I switched bathrooms with my friend and even she, who is a few inches taller, had difficult getting out of the tub. The shower in the other bathroom was perfect for me in terms of mobility. The door hook, however, is so high that even throwing my towel up sometimes failed to catch it. It would be helpful to have a lower hook placed on the wall, or a suction hook placed in the shower. 2). The cabinets in the lovely kitchen are so high on the walls that I could only reach the bottom shelf. It would be nice if the unit(s) had one of those folding steps tools so getting things into and out of cabinets was easier. 3). The layout of the bedrooms seems designed for a couple and 1-2 children--which I'm sure is a more common configuration--not for two adults traveling together who are not a couple. My friend hit her head three times on the top bunk as she got into/out of bed; we had to pad the bed railing with beach towels. If the bunks will be kept (and kids surely enjoy them and fight over who gets which), it might be good to get the type of bunk bed set-up that allows the bunks to be separated into two twin beds when adults are using that room. While the room is quite small, I think beds set perpendicular to each another would work if only one adult was to be in the room, or the second bed/bunk could be temporarily put in the storage shed. In spite of these issues, we loved our time, it was difficult to leave, and I keep wishing I were still there. :-)
