"A basic no frills hotel in a quite location which is within walking distance of Dundee City Centre. My room and bathroom were very clean with a comfortable bed and plenty of towels. It would be better if the cleaner removed the black marks around the external light switch on the wall outside the bathroom door. The carpet in the hallway leading to my room could have benefited from being thoroughly swept clean. The restaurant offers a menu which is better than most similar hotels. My evening meal on the night of my arrival (Boeuf Bourguignon) was tasty but could have been much hotter. I would avoid the Dundee Marmalade Bread and Butter Pudding on the Dessert menu. A very obliging Breakfast Waiter arranged to make some porridge for me on the morning of my departure. There are very pleasant receptionists working in the hotel. "

"Lovely clean room. Really nice complimentary breakfast and the staff all smiley and helpful. I didn’t use the gym or laundry so can’t comment on that. Very centrally located. Caird Hall, McManus Museum, Abertay University and main shopping area all within 5 mins walk. Parking available at hotel but also plenty of car parks nearby. "

"5 Pilmour Place was beyond our expectations! The location is perfect, being close for a walk along the water and going to Market street for shopping! The staff was amazing and so accommodating :) definitely would be coming back!"
