"When you think of kid fire my hotel this is the place to be, the dance party in the elevator was a big hit for kids and adults, we got the standard theme pirate room and it was amazing our kids and I absolutely loved it, the treasure hunt in the room with mini figures for our kids were a great bonus. The breakfast was very good for buffet sausage, French toast, potatoes, chilaquiles ( delicious) rice beans cereal, salad, fruits, the only thing is the orange juice was watered down and apple juice pretty sweet but that was an easy fix. The park is literally steps away I loved how close distance everything was, we walked over to the castle hotel in the evening and my son enjoyed the play area there. It was a great experience highly recommend, we are already planning our next trip. "

"I booked a three-night stay at Best Western Carlsbad by the Sea through Expedia but checked out after two nights because the bed and pillows were in terrible condition. The mattress had no cushioning left and sank straight to the bottom, and the pillows were lumpy and misshapen. I had to buy my own pillows and materials just to make the bed usable, and still barely slept. I reported this to the front desk, but the only response was, "I will let them know." No apology, no room change, and no assistance. I ended up leaving a day early because the room was not usable. Very disappointing stay."

"The properties photos depict something quite different from the reality of the suites condition. The living room furniture was dirty tattered and torn. This included all furniture. The bathroom floored were also unkept. Keeping this in mind , when we checked in we had to wait because although the room was allegedly cleaned it had to be inspected. When I complained about the room, they said they were aware of the condition and that all rooms were similar so there was nothing they can do. I have stayed any many Embassy Suites but this was extremely disappointing. It resembled more of what one might invusion being a room that rented by the hour"
