"We loved our stay at Burmese Castle! What especially stood out where the castle grounds, including beautiful gardens and even a hedge maze which the kids loved. I so enjoyed walking around the grounds in the evening time, enjoying all of the flowers and hidden surprises. Surprises. The accommodations were quite comfortable, though there was a little bit of noise from the pipes in some of the bedrooms."

"This is one of the most delightful places we've ever stayed. Simultaneously like staying in a dear friend's beautiful home AND the highest quality hotel. The locally sources and prepared food is superb; everyone who works there is friendly, professional, & helpful; the grounds & buildings are idyllic; and Carlingford is a lovely, well-appointed, walkable town. "This has to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The building itself is stunning and the furniture fits in incredibly well and helps keep the hotels character authentic. The level of cleanliness was outstanding and you can tell the owners and staff take a genuine pride in making sure the hotel is kept to an exceptional standard. Breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. Fantastic location with a train station 5 minutes walk away and a fantastic bar close by. Easy walking distance to the local town and bars but also not too close that noise becomes an issue. Would absolutely stay here again and if anyone is visiting the area I would highly recommend staying here."
