Lovely clean rooms and b&b amazing people really accommodated all our needs even doing breakfast very early so friendly our second stay with the coach and horses will def stay again excellent food lovely staff

Have stayed several times before. The bathroom definitely needs an update, looking tired and warn. The staff and owners are very friendly and couldn’t do more if they tried. Lovely people. We did feel the £20 per night price increase wasn’t warranted for the room though.

Stayed 3 nights whilst my daughter was competing at The Wales and West Show this weekend. Very convenient for the David Broome Event Centre, literally a few mins drive. Very pleased with the room, immaculately clean with a gorgeous view and much appreciated tea and coffee making facilities. Sadly due to early starts each morning we didn’t get to sample breakfast but we were offered packed lunches by the lovely staff. We will definitely return.

Friendly pub
It was very friendly and had a pleasant overnight stay. Thought the room was a bit tired though. But overall well supplied,with coffee/ tea etc.

What a Nightmare
We arrived 1.00 pm booked The Food took ages to arrive The Gammon was fatty The eggs were over cooked The Chips were Greasy We went back to our room to have a sleep until we went out later that night. They left our windows open The noise from the Beer Garden and the smell of Cigarette smoke just terrible The bed was like concrete not comfortable We didn't sleep properly The Bathroom was dirty Not Happy Booking was £80 The Food was £27 Spoilt our Celebration I would like a refund

There was a definite pride from the owners and staff in the hotel and pub. Every area was totally clean and attention had been paid to what their guests would need for their stay.

Make sure you know what you want for breakfast!
Comfortable enough room. This is my second stay. This time I was a bit disconcerted to be asked at check in if I wanted breakfast (which was included) then asked to tell them what I wanted without seeing the choices. I'd just driven 3 1/2 hours it was the last thing I could think of. The poached eggs were very nice and the lady serving was very friendly.

Cider Festival Ready
The landlord and landlady went above and beyond, helping with any issues, the room was large, clean and comfortable, it had everything needed, the breakfast was very nice. We stayed 4 nights, we were attending the Caldecott castle Cider festival, I twisted my ankle on the Roman wall, I was given a support bandage and offered pain killers, husband lost his phone, within 20 minutes, the landlord had phoned a friend who phoned a friend and his phone was with security waiting for us to collect the next day. I would highly recommend this place, the Roman history was something we did not expect, if you are interested in Roman history go stay here it’s a full village with walls you can walk on

Beatiful country escape

We could not fault the property or the staff. They were all very welcoming and looked after us very well. The meals were delicious and Kate is to be commended for her home cooking.

Very well priced B&B. Rooms bright and airy, Comfortable and Clean. Tea and Coffee, Comfortable bed. Room Fan was welcome for the warm day that I stayed Breakfast was cooked to order and was of good quality. Staff were very pleasant and couteous.

Very nice, unfortunately @ large Party was booked. It would have been good to have been informed they were not providing food after not eating all day. We booked in earlier, left and returned expecting to have a meal, it came as a surprise, lucky we had a scotch egg each as we hadn’t eaten lunch .

Good overnighter
Staff were very friendly and helpful and were more engaged at a personal level. The area was very quiet and the room had lots of light with a lovely view. Room was clean and the overall experience for a stopgap was very good and made a change from the chains.

The landlord and staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. The pub caters for both locals and visitors in an extremely pleasant location. The building is well set out for eating or just having a few pints. Accommodation was clean, tidy and quiet...highly recommended.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, accommodating and polite. Good level of cleanliness although, the disinfectant fumes were a little on the high side. Breakfast was nicely served, cooked and fresh. They also had a nice outdoor area. Thank you to all the staff for their good work and service.

Great nights stay at the coach and horses we stayed as were visiting Chepstow races what a find room was comfortable and clean with bottled water and plenty of tea and coffee the hotel was so lovely staff and locals really friendly made us feel so welcome as did the owner great breakfast also I would definitely stay again.

This property had everything I needed for a quiet stay and when I returned in the evening from my trips they had good selection of food and ales that I could chose from the menu. Would gladly stay there again if I need to stop over in the area.
